Mr Soprano has been in pretty good order of late and appeals as the type who can win more races, with similar comments applicable to Marital and Royal Blessing. However, OMOTESANDO made it two on the bounce when scoring snugly at Lingfield recently and he could be one to keep on side for the time being. Handicap debutant Yours Truly is another to keep a close eye on.

Diamond Runner still looks to be on a feasible mark but slight preference is for MANDRIA. The selection turned in her best effort yet when a half-length third over 7f at Kempton last month and the handicapper has kindly left her rating unchanged. It would come as no surprise to see She's Invincible take a step forward sooner rather than later, with similar comments applicable to War Girl.

Above N Beyond caught the eye on his Kempton debut and is expected to step forward from that initial experience, with improvement also anticipated from Bint Kodiac and Al Zubarah. Smartly-bred newcomer Next Life merits close consideration for a yard that tends to dominate the all-weather circuit at this time of year but, at this stage, the safest option appears to be FATAAWY. Brian Meehan's filly has done nothing wrong in finishing second at Newbury and Nottingham on her last two starts and it is surely only a matter of time before she goes one better.

NEWMARCH has done nothing but impress in his two starts to date, making an impressive winning debut at Lingfield in the spring before bolting up on his handicap bow and reappearance at Doncaster last month. An 11lb higher mark makes life tougher now but he has the scope to make up into a smart performer and is worth sticking with. Noro Lim only narrowly missed out at Goodwood and might fill the same finishing position again tonight, with Hamelin also of interest on his return from a lengthy absence.

RUM SWIZZLE won with enough in hand in a similar event at Lingfield last week to suggest he could defy a 5lb rise and with the fifth home that day scoring since, Harry Dunlop's charge is narrowly preferred to Malimbi. The latter won at Nottingham two starts ago and will be a big threat if reproducing his progressive turf form now returned to the all-weather. Forgiving Glance has been running well in defeat on grass and is interesting now trying Tapeta for the first time.

KING TORUS had been in solid form prior to his last run at Thirsk - winning a claimer at Doncaster in July and going close in a classified stakes contest at the same venue on his penultimate outing. Back in plating class and with a previous win on the all-weather to his name, David O'Meara's gelding gets the nod here. Mister Musicmaster is coming back down the weights as he returns to a surface he likes, but a bigger danger may be Geordan Murphy, who scored with ease in this grade at Kempton before being far from disgraced in a competitive handicap over 1m here.

A wide-open handicap but there is plenty to like about the chances of MALLYMKUN, who caught the eye when staying on strongly for third over 6f here last week and should relish this extra furlong off the same mark. Manolito's best effort came over this C&D when third in October and he is 5lb lower on his first all-weather outing since, while Pressure has been running well in defeat on turf and must be respected on his return to this sphere.

Marmalad made the most of a drop into claiming company when staying on to win very easily over 1m at Lingfield and must be respected off what looks a feasible mark back in handicap company. However, the drop in trip is a concern (both wins over 1m) so preference is for DEPTH CHARGE, a lightly-raced Jeremy Noseda inmate who shaped well enough on his handicap debut at Kempton on his return from a break and is 2lb lower now. Wink Oliver has winning C&D form and arrived on the back of a good second at Leicester, though he has no margin for error off his current all-weather mark.
