MORAL HIGH GROUND was sent off favourite on his introduction but he ran into the subsequent Group 3 winner Smash Williams that day. With that experience under his belt and in what has to be a weaker race, the son of Elnadim must go close. Aspar and Go Kart made pleasing debuts, with both filling the runner-up spot. Of the newcomers, Roman Impero looks the most interesting as he is related to Nunthorpe and Stewards' Cup winners.

Bubbly Bellini wins his fair share of races but may struggle here under his penalty. Alkasser has regressed from a good Listed win last year and is best watched until he shows some form, but this appears a good opportunity for JAMESIE. The son of Kodiac hasn't won since beating Gordon Lord Byron in a Group 3 a year ago but he has run plenty of good races in defeat since then. The biggest threat could come from the filly Red Ivy, who put up a decent effort in a Listed race at the Curragh in May.

A very open race and a slight preference is for DAISY BELL, who wasn't beaten all that far in a decent race at the Curragh last month. A repeat of that form from a 1lb lower mark can see her go well. Tom Dooley is another in fine fettle at the moment and looks on a workable mark. Catwilldo and Three Bells both appear capable of making their presence felt at the finish too.

BIRDCAGE disappointed in a Listed race at Naas in June but, outside of that, she has looked a progressive filly. A mark of 88 isn't a gift but it is workable. Know is another improver and should have more to offer. Shrill can go well on the evidence of her third in a Listed affair in July and she may have found the travelling a negative when beaten at Newbury last time.

PINCODE has been very progressive all season and he should have plenty more in hand off a mark of 75. The horse he beat last time has won twice since, but Hudson's Bay is another upwardly mobile type who is having a good season and should be a lively danger to Patrick Prendergast's colt. My Twinkle has more to offer, while Majenta and Venezia both have the ability to be involved as well.

UDOGO has been very progressive since he started in handicaps and he had more up his sleeve than the winning distance suggests at Wexford last weekend. A 4lb rise is very fair and he should be the one to beat. To Choose took a nice race at the Curragh last week and has been bumped up 6lb as a result. Lomi's Law has been getting closer to breaking her maiden tag and her last two runs indicate that there is a race in her off this mark. Selskar Abbey and Brog Deas Nua look best of the rest.

This is an outstanding opportunity for VAN SCHAICK to get his head in front. The drop back to 1m looks sure to suit this son of Rip Van Winkle and he must go well. A mark 82 might just flatter Mcguigan but he appeals as the logical danger. Golden Raven and Red Napoleon are interesting newcomers and they wouldn't have to be superstars to get involved here.
