YEOMANOFTHEGUARD made eye-catching late headway to claim the bronze medal after a slow start on his debut in a 6f Carlisle maiden in June, shaping as though this extra furlong would be right up his street and looking a surefire future winner at this level. Providing he takes to the all-weather, he can put that experience to good use and open his account at the second attempt. Galilee Chapel has made the frame in handicaps the last twice, including on his all-weather debut over C&D last time out, and rates a serious threat back in maiden company, while Tiablo is another that looked crying out for 7f when a well-beaten fourth over 6f here first time out. Any market support for Mark Johnston's newcomer, Kinloch Castle, would have to be taken very seriously.

CHELSEA MICK should take all the beating here. Ed McMahon's charge built on his opener when narrowly losing over out C&D in August and finished well clear of the remainder when chasing home a smart prospect at Chester last time out. With nothing of that calibre in opposition tonight and no concern about the surface, he should gain a deserved success. The drop to 7f and switch to the all-weather helped Oblitereight improve to pick up the silver medal at Kempton latest and he looks most likely to capitalise should the selection fluff his lines.

There is sure to be plenty of support for Master Of Dance, who is effectively only 4lb higher than when scoring at Newcastle last week despite carrying a 6lb penalty due to his lower all-weather mark. He didn't get on top until the final furlong that day, however, and the drop back in trip doesn't look in his favour. TWINKLED scored in a higher grade off 4lb lower over 7f at Lingfield in May and was entitled to need the run on his only outing since at Leicester last month, so he is taken to return to form at a lower level here with that pipe-opener under his belt. Golden Taurus' good fourth over further here last month suggests he's back off a realistic mark, a comment that also applies to C&D winner Global Village.

In this trappy affair, it might be worth taking a chance on Folkestone maiden winner PASSING STRANGER as he makes his all-weather debut. He only got up by a nose on just his second start but looked capable of much better things and, off a feasible initial handicap mark, could be up to scoring here. The danger looks to be Titus Gent, a comfortable winner over C&D last time and possibly capable of following up under a 6lb penalty. Chances might also be given to Six Wives, Supercharged and Sir Nod.

LEMON DROP RED escapes a penalty for his impressive success at Ffos Las as it came in an apprentices' race. He's already shown he handles the polytrack, having won over 1m4f here in July, and he is taken to stage a follow up tonight. All-weather specialist Respendent Ace still looks well treated following his win here last month but his last two successes have come over an extended two miles and this trip might be on the sharp side nowadays. Corr Point and Boa are both running well and could take a hand in the finish.

It's taken COME ON BLUE CHIP a while to get the hang of things but the penny appeared to drop last time when he romped home by five lengths over 7f here. He looked to have plenty in hand and a 6lb penalty shouldn't prevent him from following up if he's in the same mood, especially as he looks suited by this longer trip. Curtain Patch, making her all-weather debut, has shown ability and the fitting of a first-time visor here could put her in with a chance, while Orwellian and Ashkan could make the frame.

It might be worth taking a chance on FONNIE. She hasn't been out since her debut over 7f at Warwick last October but she showed plenty of promise in second that day and could be good enough to score here if fully wound up and handling the switch to the polytrack. Lieutenant Kojak was out of his depth last month in a Listed race at Sandown but could prove a threat at this level, while Mick Channon's Queen Josephine might be worth a second look on debut.

It's difficult here to oppose the claims of MONSTER MUNCHIE here. He's up 4lb after scoring by a length over C&D last month but always looked in command that day and could be open to further improvement after just six starts. We may not have seen the best of Cookieshake yet and he could prove a threat if running up to his best form. Key Breeze, just pipped here over the extended mile last time, and the consistent Dream Of Fortune are not without chances.
