Godolphin seem to have an inexhaustible supply of promising youngsters to turn out at present and FLAG OFFICER is another who looks set to visit the winner's enclosure. A close and closing second over C&D on his debut last month, he should take all the beating with that run under his belt tonight. Show Rainbow is a progressive sort also dropping in class and looks the chief danger despite tackling the all-weather for the first time. Tenby Lady, third over 6f here on her debut, looks best of the rest.

Opera Dancer was out of her depth in a valuable Doncaster stakes race last time but has claims here on her close fourth in a 1m Kempton maiden before that. Areef cost connections 60,000gns and is related to a string of French winners. She looks a live prospect on her debut but preference is for fellow newcomer, NEVER NEVER LAND, another expensive purchase and one with a top pedigree. His trainer has an outstanding record with his juveniles and it would be no surprise to see this debutant score first time out.

It might pay to side with CONNOR'S CHOICE, who has disappointed on turf this summer but showed signs of a return to form when third at Bath last time. He's a much better performer on the all-weather, winning over C&D last year, and he's weighted to score back on his favourite surface. So Surreal was a good 7f winner at Lingfield last week but that was in a seller and he has the added burden of a 6lb penalty here. Tawzeea has been running well in defeat but has a bit to find to land this heat.

Ryedane scored at Redcar two starts ago but was only second off the same mark over this C&D next time and has another 4lb to carry now. Fawley Green just missed out at Lingfield last time and must be given every chance off the same mark, while Sweet Gale is chasing a hat-trick and cannot be ruled out despite rising 6lb in the handicap for her latest victory. JIGAJIG hasn't proved the most consistent on turf recently but has gone close twice off this mark and he's three from four on the all-weather so far. He is weighted to take this.

It's hard to see beyond NEZHENKA for the answer to this. An easy maiden winner at Catterick on her second start, she was a good second over 1m 6f at Haydock last month. She's up 4lb here but is dropped in class, is open to further improvement after just four starts and could get further assistance from the fitting of first-time blinkers. Never Can Tell, Bivouac and Palio Suare all won last time out and, despite having extra weight to carry, can fight out the minor honours.

No Rain showed promise when third at Newcastle on his debut and could go well if handling the switch to an artificial surface, but preference is for French import COMMERCE. Third at Compiegne on her second start, she just missed out next time on the polytrack at Lingfield on her UK debut and can go one better with this step back up in trip expected to suit. Jubilant Lady looks best of the remainder.

In a trappy contest, slight preference is for HOLY MACKEREL, who, after three modest efforts in maidens, put in a much better effort to take a close third over a mile at Bath on his handicap debut. This doesn't look any tougher. Bouggatti's second at Yarmouth last month on his fourth start puts him in with every chance here while Papas Fritas, Leicester winner Imperial Look and the consistent Unknown Rebel have all shown enough so far to come into the reckoning.

Diggerat has turned in a string of good efforts but his three wins have all come in claimers and on turf. Folio is running well on turf and has won on the all-weather but looks in the grip of the handicapper at present, a remark that also applies to C&D scorer Beat Up. Preference is for BAKONGO, who won a C&D maiden in April on her second start. She struggled in two subsequent runs on turf but was a good third last month when returning to this track and trip and is weighted to score here.
