A very moderate event with the likes of Crystal Deauville and Ty Rock Brandy setting the standard but that level is not very high and a chance can be taken with STREET SENSATION. Richard Fahey's newcomer was not the most expensive of purchases at 14,000gns but he is from a successful US family. Straffan may find handicaps more suitable next year but she could make the frame.

JESSIE ALLAN has been knocking on the door of late and two second-placed finishes on the Tapeta at Newcastle give this mare a leading chance today. Hisar is without doubt frustrating, given that he is a 16-race maiden, but the three-year-old should be thereabouts, although he is obviously not one to have too much confidence in. Others to consider are Miss Uppity and Firesnake.

In a race full of out-of-form participants the nod goes to PULSATING, who finished second at Chelmsford on her debut for this yard earlier in the month. Warba remains winless but she has been knocking on the door of late and a win should be around the corner for this filly. Princess Way is another who finds winning very difficult but she should not be completely discounted.

Suzi's Connoisseur is afforded plenty of respect while operating in 0-95 company and fitted with different headgear, though preference is for TROPICS, who was a Group 3 winner in his pomp and ran well enough off 1lb lower at Newcastle last time to think his turn may be approaching once again. Coronation Day was far from disgraced when third behind superior rated rivals in conditions company at Kempton latest and could similarly take a hand.

BELABOUR was touched off by a neck over track and trip when last sighted and is expected to run a big race now eased into 0-65 company, albeit off a 2lb higher mark. Raashdy was denied a five-timer when third over 1m6f here last time but it would come as no surprise to see him improve for the return to 1m4f. Excellent Puck is worth a market check now back from a 129-day break and also merits inclusion on the shortlist.

ANDOK was thwarted by just a head over a similar trip at Newcastle last time out and should give another good account following a 2lb rise in the ratings. Influent kept on well at the finish when fourth over 1m at Kempton last time and promises to be suited by this stiffer test. Others for the shortlist are the consistent Rainbow Rebel and C&D winner Coillte Cailin, who is now 6lb lower than when scoring at Lingfield in January.

Ivan Furtado's SWORD EXCEED was a worthy winner at Lingfield last month and should be able to play a part once again if making a successful step back up in trip to seven furlongs. Kreb's Cycle was only a head away at Chelmsford when last seen and is considered once again from just 1lb higher, while The Feathered Nest could be refreshed by a short break and was a consistent performer in the summer. Twin Appeal and Exchequer are others to consider, with the latter making just his second start for a handler known for reviving a horses fortunes.

BEYOND RECALL has been knocking on the door for Luca Cumani and is now backed to get off the mark on her first start for the upwardly mobile Archie Watson. Peace Terms ran with credit considering she had a bad draw and had to make her own running at Kempton on debut and should be capable of much better on her second start. Kingofmerrows and the newcomer Perfect Lady are also considered.
