ONE FOR BILLY has been handed a 7lb rise by the handicapper for his recent Warwick victory but Dan Skelton's five-year-old cruised into the race that day and could be one still on the up. Crackdeloust is back to his last winning mark and is sure to be popular despite only scoring once for his Malton handler Brian Ellison, while fellow Malton raider Helmsley Lad has to be considered even though others hold stronger claims on paper. Eskendash appears the best of those making there first strides in the handicap ranks and has ran well since switched to timber, with Brotherly Company also interesting on his first start for Joanne Foster having left Harry Fry.

COUNTISTER is a dual Grade 2 bumper winner in France and is expected to build on a respectable UK debut effort at Newbury and make her presence felt on these terms. Rated 98 on the Flat, Speed Company is an interesting recruit to this sphere and is entitled to come on for his recent hurdles spin at Leicester. The main danger to the selection, however, may be penalised Huntingdon scorer Clondaw Castle.

Poker School is likely to be popular in the market but the seven-year-old often is well backed but has yet to win in 2017 and he is now 10lb above his last winning mark. With that in mind, the preference is for MARKOV, who won a competitive novice handicap at Fontwell on his chasing debut last month and a 3lb rise in the ratings appears to be very fair. Call Me Vic may be one or two pounds too high to win today but it would be no surprise to see him in the mix for the minor money.

Flying Tiger was not disgraced at the highest level last time when only four-and-a-half lengths of the Champion Hurdler in the Fighting Fifth earlier in the month, and this welcome drop in grade could be appreciated by the Fred Winter winner who can play a leading part. However, Peter Atkinson's gutsy mare IRISH ROE has only been beaten once in four hurdles appearances and the course and distance winner can confirm the form with William Of Orange who is the only one to lower her colours when they met at Wetherby the time before. It is hard to dismiss Nicky Henderson's Percy Street who races from the foot of the handicap here, while Star Foot has been in fine form and could be capable of getting involved.

BRAQUEUR D'OR ran a cracker to finish fourth in the Ladbrokes Trophy at Newbury two weeks ago and is expected to take the experience gained in that prestigious handicap and put it to good use now competing against fellow novices. Keeper Hill, a Listed winner over timber last term, could feasibly figure on these terms, though a bigger danger to the selection may be Rocklander, a strong stayer over timber who struck over fences over 2m4f at Ludlow last time.

We Have A Dream won pretty much as he liked at Warwick and hold obvious claims representing connections that have enjoyed plenty of success in recent weeks, but ACT OF VALOUR rates the one to beat. A 1m2f winner on the level for Michael O'Callaghan, he impressed when beating a 90-rated Flat performer on his hurdles debut at Newcastle two weeks ago and forecast better ground will be right up his street. City Dreamer has the experience under his belt and seemingly holds Eragon De Chanay on their Market Rasen clash, while NH debutant Je Suis Charlie shouldn't be completely dismissed.

Plenty of these arrive here with claims but the marginal preference is for SEGO SUCCESS, who won this race two years ago from 3lb higher in the ratings and was fourth 12 months ago from a 5lb greater mark. The nine-year-old made a promising seasonal return at Warwick in October and is entitled to improve for that run. Virgilio and What Happens Now are others who arrive here on attractive marks, while Kilcrea Vale should not be discounted.
