An impressive winner over C&D on his most recent outing, a 7lb rise may not be enough to stop THAKI from following up. Taking on largely out-of-form rivals, Chris Dwyer's charge is expected to take plenty of beating with Thor Hammer Hansen's claim another positive. Iesha may be best placed to follow him home after some promising efforts both on the all-weather and turf, whereas Jungle Inthebungle has his first start on the all-weather since last December. Track-and-trip winner Blue Cable and Big Impact are others to consider.

With not much to go on in the way of decent form, a chance is taken with JAM TART, who arguably produced a career-best effort when a staying-on fourth here last month. Not beaten far, Mark Loughnane's charge is entitled to improve for going back up in trip and she can master the likes of Heidi High, whose trainer has a fine record around here. Reem Zabeel was behind a talented winner at Kempton on debut which gives her claims, along with Three Dons.

VERREAUX EAGLE had traffic problems when last seen at Brighton and was still able to post an encouraging third-placed finish. The daughter of Free Eagle has been progressing well this season and she can take another step forward now switched back to the all-weather. Tawaazon is an interesting contender on his handicap debut and now tries first-time cheekpieces, while Canford Bay recently bounced back to form with a victory over this course and distance and he is another to note.

SKY BLUE THINKING has been a rapid improver this season and arrives here seeking her fifth consecutive victory. The three-year-old filly was given a 5lb rise for her latest win at Chelmsford and that might not be enough to stop her in this contest. Far From A Ruby looks to be the main danger after her recent course success, while Annie Rose also has claims now running against her own sex.

ACROSS THE NILE produced a career-best performance when posting a second-placed effort at Kempton last month. The daughter Of Iffraaj now drops in class and she gets the vote to break her maiden tag. Chillsea is an interesting contender on her stable debut for Tom Ward and could be the main danger, while Polam Lane has a definite chance if building on his last-start success at Catterick.

NURSE FLORENCE produced an eye-catching performance when finishing third at Salisbury on her latest start, travelling well before meeting trouble in running at a crucial stage. The Jamie Osborne-trained filly may be able to land the spoils on her first try at this trip, with the in-form Distinction tipped to give her most to do. Alcazan posted a respectable effort when returning from a break at Chepstow last time and is also worthy of respect.

Charlie Appleby has been in outstanding form recently and he sends out the well-bred MILITARY CROWN, who is a half-brother to the top-class Lord North. The son of Postponed may prove too good for his rivals on debut, with Justice Protecol looking next best having stepped up significantly when winning at Chelmsford earlier this month. Sandy Paradise made an encouraging start when finishing sixth at the same track last week and he is worth noting now stepping up in trip.

MERLIN'S BEARD has shown highly progressive form in recent months, registering his third successive win when scoring at Bath last week, and the Richard Hughes-trained gelding may be capable of stepping up again under a 6lb penalty. Nicks Not Wonder found plenty for pressure when winning at the same track last time and can produce another bold showing, while Divine Comedy attracted market support on her handicap debut at Kempton last month and looks capable of better.
