MOTAJAASID drops back to five furlongs having made the podium on his first start after wind surgery and, still being in the early days of life with Richard Hughes, he could well have lots more up his sleeve. Paco Escostar has been performing consistently well at this distance and could find improvement for the application of cheekpieces, while Clive Cox's Dark Angel gelding Tamerlane is interesting dropping in trip for his second start.

MASQUERADE BLING was a dual winner in the summer, including a triumph here over seven furlongs, and having not been beaten far off this rating when fourth over course and distance last time, she could have a leading part to play tonight. Haylah cost an awful lot of money as a youngster and has performed well from 1lb lower the last twice, while track and trip winners Charleston Belle and Ingleby Molly have to be respected, with the latter of real interest back on her preferred all-weather surface.

EPAULEMENT was handed an 8lb rise for his Redcar triumph last month, but the way he stayed on well there gives hope that Tom Dascombe's three-year-old can take that extra burden in his stride stepping up from 1m2f. Chelmsford third Mutarabby, who has got close to Group winners in the past, is interesting fitted with first-time blinkers, while stablemate Team Decision won three consecutive races before disappointing last time. Arab Moon has generally been racing over further of late but is respected, while Humble Hero merits consideration following a wind operation. Cieren Fallon is an eye-catching jockey booking aboard the William Haggas-trained four-year-old, with the young rider looking good value for his 7lb claim in his short career in the saddle so far.

GLOBAL HERO made a winning debut at Salisbury early last month and the son of Dubawi proved that was no fluke by finishing second under a penalty at Leicester 18 days later. He has to concede weight to all of these rivals, but Rossa Ryan's claim claim should help and he remains the one to beat. Aweedram looks to have a bright future based on his opening third, also at Salisbury, and that form was boosted when the second won next time out. Reeth finished behind the selection on his debut but may get closer now he has more experience, while any market support for the 150,000-pound purchase Molaaheth would have to be noted.

LOOKING FOR CARL got off the mark on his first try over two miles at Kempton at the beginning of the month. The handicapper has raised the unexposed three-year-old just 4lb in the ratings and he may have more improvement left to come at this trip. Yasir bounced back to form last time out and he should be in the mix once again, while The Last Debutante and Street Jester also make the shortlist.

CAT ROYALE earned his first victory of the year at Lingfield two starts ago and a reproduction of that effort should be good enough to win this contest. River Cafe chased home the selection on that occasion and she could prove to be the main threat once again, while Jack Blane and Tifl hold each-way claims.

EDGE went close to winning his first contest for almost a year when third at Bath earlier in the month. This extra furlong should prove to be a positive having finished his race off well on that occasion and he remains on the same mark. Texas Radio could find improvement for a first-time visor and Luke Morris is a positive jockey booking, while Ferrier could go close if appreciating the switch to an artificial surface.

VOICE OF A LEADER would have finished closer on his most recent outing at Chelmsford had he not been hampered at a crucial point. He is now 6lb lower than his last winning mark and looks capable of returning to his best. Arrowzone's recent efforts at Chelmsford give him every chance of going close, while Indiana Dawn merits consideration arriving on the back of a solid third-placed finish at Ffos Las.
