LIGHTNING AMBER struggled in a Group 3 last time out but she had previously chased home the subsequent Group 1 runner-up Broome in a Galway maiden in August. Based on that evidence the daughter of Dutch Art should be very hard to beat this afternoon. Heliac was far from disgraced on her debut at the Curragh and she should only improve for that experience. Aiden O'Brien unleashes some well-bred newcomers and that includes Flying, who is a full-sister to the Group 1 winner Misty For Me (dam of U S Navy Flag), while Four Leaf Clover is a full-sister to the recent Irish St. Leger winner Flag Of Honour.

MR SECRETARY put in a fine performance to finish fourth in a maiden at the Curragh last month and that form has worked out well, with the subsequent Listed winner Norway was just a neck in front of him. Others with valid form claims are Conor Hogan, I Am Superman and Rakan. Aidan O'Brien has won this race four times in the last eight years and his most eye-catching runner is Gentile Bellini, who cost 2,000,000gns as a yearling and that is little surprise given that he is the first foal out of four-time Group 1 winner Sky Lantern.

HARVEST BOW got off the mark when winning impressively at Gowran Park on Monday and she should take plenty of beating once again, despite an 8lb rise in the ratings. Arcturus clearly improved for his debut experience when winning at Listowel last month and he may have more to offer today. Facethepuckout and National Guard are others who merit a place on the shortlist.

COULD BE KING only won a maiden last time out but he accounted for a 97-rated rival on that occasion. Prior to that run the son of Bated Breath had run well in Group races won by Ten Sovereigns and Anthony Van Dyck and there doesn't appear to be anything of their calibre in this contest. No Needs Never beat Old Glory to the victory in a Listed race at Dundalk earlier in the month and they could make the frame once again today.

FLAVIUS is entitled to come on for his first outing of the season, when finishing a short-head second over 1m1f at Tipperary in late August, and the son of War Front has the scope for significant improvement with this only being his third outing. Similar comments apply to North Face, who sports first-time blinkers after staying on in the closing stages over an extended mile at Cork last time, while Riven Light's run in Seoul can be forgiven completely and he is better judged on his excellent handicap win at Galway.

BUCKY LARSON has been a consistent individual for Ger Lyons this season, having won twice over C&D earlier in the campaign, and his most recent effort at Naas suggests he is more than capable of taking a prize of this nature. Innamorare has won two of her last four outings in handicaps and has Andrew Slattery's 7lb claim to aid her cause, while the lightly raced Shatharaat has the potential for further improvement on only his fourth start.

COCKALORUM returns from a 139-day absence having run below par at Listowel when last seen, but the son of Cape Cross has been gelded which could feasibly bring about improvement. Minnie Haha went close to getting her head in front when denied by Snowflakes at Cork earlier this month and can pose a solid threat along with Freetown, who could benefit from a drop in distance having appeared to struggled over 1m4f of late.

NIBIRU was considered good enough for a crack at a Group 3 here after winning on debut at Naas last October. Things seemingly haven't gone to plan since, having just had the one start at Sligo in August, but there is the potential for improvement with a first-time tongue-tie applied and for being gelded. Vitudurum won first time out at Listowel and is respected on his handicap debut, while Jj's Journey makes a fair amount of appeal off a mark of 74 following three outings in the UK.
