SECRET GLANCE made a debut full of promise when fourth to the 80-rated Free Entry at Pontefract last month and natural improvement makes him a big player in a maiden of this nature. Longside left a moderate Newmarket debut behind when finishing a head second at Kempton earlier this month and he comes into the reckoning, along with Star Of The Stage, a well-bred newcomer representing a respected operation.

Savannah Beau outran odds of 66-1 when winning a Redcar maiden in July and is interesting on her nursery debut, but the lack of experience may count against her and AR COLLEEN AINE is preferred. Mick Channon's charge has won twice at Dunstall park, albeit in sellers, and C&D-winning form is sure to stand the daughter of Paco Boy in good stead. Bushtown Boy and Somedaysrdiamonds can also have their say.

TAMARIN represents a rare Sir Michael Stoute representative at Dunstall Park and she's potentially well treated off 64 on her handicap debut. Pitched into a Newmarket maiden on her debut, the well-bred Paco Boy offspring registered her best effort to date when running third here last month and given the second and fifth horses have since franked the form, she's well worth another look. Zebelini, a good winner at Ripon on debut, and Charlie's Star are also noted.

MAMBO SPIRIT isn't getting any younger at the age of 10, but he can put all his experience to good use and build on an improved effort at Bath last time. A decent third the time before over C&D, the son of Invincible Spirit is on a mark which he can get competitive off and a bold showing looks on the cards. Methaaly is one year his senior and won't be far away based on his best form, while course runner-up Reginald Claude can also get competitive.

SLIM CHANCE arrives in the middle of a real purple patch and can defy a 9lb hike in the weights for scoring under a winner's penalty at Hamilton last time. The daughter of Clodovil is winless from seven starts on all-weather, but she's ran well at Dundalk in particular in the past and is worth sticking with while evidently on good terms with herself. Taquka will be out to build on his latest Kempton second to Peace Seeker and the consistent Poyle Vinnie is worthy of consideration as well.

THUNDER PASS catches the eye at the bottom of the weights following a runaway success at Pontefract. He has been handed an 8lb rise for that three-length victory but he is open to plenty of improvement in handicaps and he could take some beating. Rex Whistler has been running well in defeat lately and he is likely to be thereabouts once more. Save The Bees and All The Winds are solid each-way contenders but looks vulnerable for win purposes.

The well-bred BEAUTIFUL ENDING ran green on her debut but she also showed plenty of potential, and with this step up in trip likely to suit she rates a confident selection. Chapel Choir got going too late on her racecourse bow at Nottingham and, like many juveniles from her yard, she is expected to improve for the run. She looks the main danger ahead of Skip And Jump, though the newcomers Prying and Nawaasy should be monitored in the betting.

KEENE'S POINTE was a never-nearer second at Leicester last time and with a more experienced rider back in the plate, he is fancied to land just his second career victory. He has been shaping as if another success is just around the corner and he is undoubtedly well handicapped. Pour La Victoire will need a career best if he is to be successful off this mark but he has gone well at this venue in the past and is likely to be thereabouts. Hawkmoth and Larghetto look the best of the remainder.
