Only two previous winners among these and while Colourful Event must be considered closely in the first time visor, preference is for KING KENOBI. The Stan Moore representative won in selling company at Leicester earlier this month over this distance and is expected to take to the all-weather surface at the first time of asking. Maccabees is another to take seriously taking a notable drop in class, having contested a strong Goodwood handicap when last sighted.

The William Haggas filly, Ashbina, has shaped well in her three starts to date but while she has quickly earned a rating of 70 in the process, CHILLIE BILLIE is preferred. This is a tough ask for the former against the boys and Kieren Fallon's mount appeared very unlucky over C&D last time out when he appeared to have the race won. The colt was headed close home by the useful Sir Mark Prescott inmate Lucky Money but is taken to go one better now. The newcomer Jake's Destiny could be worth a second look.

DAZEEN won on the turf at Ripon in July off a mark of 75 and off his revised all-weather rating of 71, the four-year-old appears dangerously well handicapped. His most recent effort in this sphere at Kempton wasn't a bad one and this looks a winnable contest. C&D winner Sir Nod is likely to be on offer at a tempting price and appears to represent good each-way value but Shifting Star could prove the main threat to the selection in the first time head gear.

A competitive handicap event for punters to untangle and it would be dangerous to rule out a rejuvenated Mount Hollow who escapes a penalty for winning an apprentice handicap contest at Pontefract last week. A lack of winning form on the all-weather surface is a slight worry but the Reg Hollinshead charge runs from 3lb well in at the weights. Slight preference, however, is for LITTLE JIMMY ODDSOX who makes his all-weather debut. A return to form on an easy surface at Newcastle last time out suggested the Tim Easterby charge is up to this challenge and could still be a little way ahead of the assessor off a mark 75. Caledonia Princess makes most appeal of the remainder.

Faraway was a comfortable winner in selling company here on Saturday night and despite the burden of a 6lb penalty, the two-year-old, should go well again. FAST ON gets the vote, however, despite having failed to shed his maiden tag for Ed McMahon. The Midlands-based trainer has endured a quiet season but the yard is beginning to hit top form just at the right time and this son of Verglas has shaped promisingly in both maiden and nursery company thus far. Billyrayvalentine is another to consider closely if allowed to take his chance following success at Folkestone on Tuesday.

Carcinetto finished with a late rattle to claim second spot over an extended 7f here last Friday and she rates a leading contender now stepping back up in distance, but MRS DEE BEE edges the vote. Charlie Hills' progressive three-year-old goes about her business in the right manner and, a winner on good to firm ground at Nottingham in July, this surface is expected to suit. Indian Valley ran well in the first time blinkers (worn again tonight) at Windsor last time and could be dangerous to leave out of calculations.

ASAID has displayed a fair level of ability in both public appearances thus far and, fitted with a visor tonight, he appears to have a great chance of opening his account. Tonnerre is entitled to strip fitter for his fifth at Bath 12 days ago (first outing since October) and looks the most likely danger, while Midnight Waltz took giant strides forward when runner-up behind subsequent winner Kyllachy Spirit over an extended 1m1f here last time out and she could figure prominently again if progressing further.

SHOUDA is the least exposed member of this line-up with just five starts under his belt and could deliver the goods. A fine third on his handicap debut over an extended 1m5f here in April, he stepped up on that when scoring gamely over an extended 1m2f at Yarmouth last time (second and third have notched up six wins between them since) and a 7lb hike in the handicap may not be enough to stop him from following up. Miss Ferney looks an obvious danger having won two of her last three starts, while Dream Of Fortune has been knocking on the door recently and is certainly no forlorn hope.
