MUTASSEM was beaten less than a length when finishing third in a maiden race over C&D last time and is fancied to open his account here with useful amateur Lynsey Hanna on board. She has an excellent strike-rate at this track and is two from two riding for Tom Keddy's yard. Roman Maze and Long Weekend could prove the biggest dangers.

Official ratings suggest this is between RASSEEM and Il Pranzo. The former had shaped well over 6f on fast ground when with Goldolphin during the summer and her jockey was unable to ride a finish, after injurying himself during the race, on her first start for new connections at Southwell. Today's polytrack surface should suit and she can get the better of Il Pranzo who won a banded race over 5f here in October.

GAELIC PRINCESS is on a long losing run but is now 14lb lower than her victory over 5f here last year. She showed signs of a return to form when third at Lingfield last time and Christine Hannaford rides this track well. Merdiff should give another good account but Sundried Tomato is not helped by a wide draw.

Today's weights give Sudden Flight a chance if fully tuned-up on his return from an absence and Forty Forte is likely to play a prominent role. However, MOLLY'S SECRET remains in fine form, finishing runner-up at Southwell on her latest start after winning over C&D in similar company last month and another bold bid is expected here.

BUSCADOR was never quite right in the first half of this year but looked like his old self when returning from a six month absence to record his fourth C&D victory a fortnight ago. He was expected to need the run on that occasion and will strip fitter today. United Spirit just got the better of My Pension here last time and York Cliff can make the frame.

CERTIFIABLE was claimed from Andrew Reid's yard after winning over 7f here recently. This is more difficult but he could not have won any easier last time and can score on his first start for new connections with smart apprentice Phil Makin taking 3lb off his back. Tokewanna keeps knocking on the door and Up Tempo is no forlorn hope despite carrying top-weight.

Secret Vision was just touched off on her sole start over 7f at Salisbury last year and, after such a long lay-off, it may be best to wait to see how the market speaks of her chances. However, he may have a job getting the better of ARMATORE who has taken to the A/W well with two good efforts over this C&D. Today could be his day.

Libre is in good heart and nearly landed a course hat-trick here last time out, but the handicapper may have caught up with him now and the preference is for QOBTAAN. He went very close to recording a C&D double latest and his 2lb punishment may not be enough to prevent the in-form gelding from getting back in the winner's enclosure today. Cheese 'N Biscuits is another going well but she has questions to answer over this trip.
