Compton Silver was far from disgraced behind New Fforest over 5f here last time and with further improvement likely, he should be on the premises. Archie Stevens should also be thereabouts but SECRET MISSILE is preferred. He had to settle for second behind Moviesta on his debut over 5f here but he is entitled to improve both for that experience and the step up to 6f. She's Some Girl, Al Udeid and Opus Cactus are all worth a betting market check on debut.

THERESNONEEDFORDAT completed a hat-trick of C&D wins in good style on Saturday and a 6lb penalty might not stop him from taking all the beating again this evening. Amoure Medidi has been running well over 7f here and he can make his presence felt, providing the drop to 6f does not catch him out. For Shia And Lula took a step in the right direction when runner-up over this C&D last week and he makes the shortlist, along with Flameoftheforest.

Chloe's Dream won impressively over 5f at Beverley last week and she is respected here, despite her 6lb penalty. Hardy Blue is in terrific form at present and she can go well, along with Blazing Knight and We Are City. Somethingboutmary and Echo Of Silence are also considered but CAPTAIN MCCAW gets a tentative vote. He has shown some promise in maidens and it would be no surprise to see him step up on that now tackling handicap company for the first time, off a mark of 68, with blinkers applied.

BRAZILIAN CLOWN has been knocking on the door for a while and he deserves to find an opening. This could be it. Grievous Angel has been struggling in handicap company since winning a Thirsk claimer last month but the return to this grade, with a hood and cheekpieces applied for the first time, could spark a return to form. Marmot Bay, Work Ethic and Mujadora are all worth a second look at this level.

Raheeba carries a 6lb penalty for her pillar-to-post C&D success last week but can make her presence felt once more. My Body Is A Cage disappointed on her handicap debut at Sandown but it would be no surprise to see her fare much better here. Grey Seal is respected and Merry Jaunt looks a likely contender on her handicap debut but a chance is taken on CHEERS FOR THEA. She has not won for over two years and her recent form is hardly inspiring, but she is very nicely handicapped as a result and she has won three times over this C&D.

Ekham shaped with promise on his debut over 1m1f here just under a year ago and he is a very interesting contender on his return from a lay-off, but slight preference is for MATURED. She stepped up markedly on her debut effort to finish runner-up to an 82-rated rival over 1m4f at Kempton last time and with further improvement likely, she has leading claims tonight. Maori Dancer is also worthy of consideration.

Hail To The Chief is interesting on his first run for Ed Dunlop and Inqadh has solid claims on the form of his Kempton second last month. Recent Bath runner-up Totalize also looks a likely player but MINORITY INTEREST gets the verdict. He shaped with plenty of promise in a hot 1m2f Sandown maiden in May and this trip should suit, so he could take plenty of beating if at the top of his game after his lay-off.

Azrag comes into this in good heart and there is no obvious reason why he will not run his race and be in the shake-up once more, while Bengal Tiger is also in decent form and he can make his presence felt. Honest Strike could surprise and Edgware Road is not without a chance but SUEDEHEAD gets the call in a tricky finale. A full sister to Group 2 winner Hatta Fort, she shaped as though a step up to this trip would suit when fourth over 1m2f at Lingfield last time and a handicap mark of 56 could be within her capabilities.
