PELMANISM did well to finish as close as he did over an extended 5f here last time having broke slowly and met trouble turning for home and, with stepping back up in trip this evening almost certain to help, he gets the vote to go one better. Irish Heartbeat has been knocking on the door and should be in the mix once again, while Silverware and Jack My Boy are others to note.

MAGIQUE appears to have been found a great opportunity to open her account. She has displayed a fair level of ability in three starts thus far over 7f and, judging by the way she finished off her race here latest, stepping up in trip today is unlikely to cause any problems. Mosman is expected to give the favourite most to think about, while Tom Dascombe's newcomer Evan Elpus could prove best of the remaining trio.

CHEERS FOR THEA ran out an easy winner over slightly further here latest (second has won since) and a 6lb penalty may not be enough to stop her if she can reproduce that level of performance today. There does look to be plenty in the way of dangers, however, including other last-time-out winners Nant Saeson, Outlaw Torn and Royal Holiday, while David Evans' Sudden Wish (engaged to run at Lingfield yesterday) certainly isn't out of it either.

DOCTOR PARKES won nicely on his all-weather debut (and first start for the Stuart Williams stable) over slightly shorter here last time and he is taken to defy a 5lb rise and repeat the dose this evening. Swiss Cross has been running consistently well of late and another big run is expected from him, while All Or Nothin and Woolfall Sovereign add further spice to the race.

DAVID'S FOLLY has dropped to a handy mark and looked ready to take advantage when finishing fourth at Southwell last month. Only lightly raced, she remains open to further progress. Of the dangers, Stetson makes plenty of appeal arriving on the back of a three-quarters of a length defeat at Lingfield, while Reaction and Day Of Destiny make up the shortlist.

DEVOUT is taken to open her account at the fifth time of asking. She left her maiden form well behind when a neck second first time in handicap company at Lingfield ten days ago and another big run looks assured lining up off the same mark here. Black Truffle was only a head behind the selection that day (finishing third) and he should give another good account, while Frans Hals also has claims.

A few look to have chances in the finale so BRIMSTONE HILL receives only a tentative vote. He has been running consistently well of late and it will be disappointing were he not to play a leading role off his lightweight this evening. Another big performance is expected from Noble Silk, while Lingfield scorer Alazan also has to be given a chance.
