Lily Moreton ran well for third over the minimum trip at Hamilton, but she didn't appear to get home over this trip at Redcar prior to that, so a chance is taken on KODIAC LADY getting away on terms. Simon West's filly ran on well after being slowly away over 7f here last time and a sharper start could see her open her account. Baileys Pursuit has been consistent of late and could get involved, as could recent Redcar third Samsamsam.

With three last-time-out winners in the field this looks a competitive heat. Inxile rolled back the years to land a claimer at Ripon on his penultimate start and ran with credit when fourth at Chester on Saturday. The 10-year-old will be having just his sixth career start on the all-weather, while three-year-old Koptoon has two wins from four starts on an artificial surface and was an emphatic winner over C&D last time. Slight preference is for PEACE SEEKER, who comes out best at the weights on official figures and was an emphatic winner on his seasonal reappearance at Lingfield earlier this month.

MAJDOOL showed the benefit of his Nottingham debut when finding just one too good at Chester last time. The winner has since gone on to finish fourth in the Coventry Stakes at Royal Ascot so it's unlikely Roger Varian's charge will meet anything of that calibre here. Criminalistic was soundly beaten into second at Lingfield last time but has at least shown a liking for this surface, while Lady Cecil's newcomer Cabinet Room and Mark Johnston's debutant Barabau are worthy of consideration.

TAROOQ may be without a win in five starts this season, but all those runs have come in handicap company and he won his last three runs in claiming company last year, all on the all-weather and the final one under a similarly big weight at Southwell. Personal Touch was a close third in a claimer at Ripon and merits respect back up to this trip, while Pool House has been beaten in plating company at Leicester the last twice, but has a much better record on the all-weather.

ATAMAN ran a hugely promising race on his debut at Windsor, picking up well after being held up at the back over 10 furlongs. The extra distance here is likely to suit and he wouldn't have to improve much to score here. Who Dares Wins ran well enough in a Newbury handicap last time to suggest there's a race in him somewhere, so he is the main danger ahead of Suzi Icon, who has shown signs of ability but was very disappointing at Thirsk latest.

ROSENBAUM may be 17lb higher than when successful over C&D in March, but he has since made mincemeat of his rivals in a Southwell handicap and acquitted himself well in decent races at York and Haydock. The return to this surface could see him get the better of Christmas Hamper, who stumbled badly when making headway at Newbury last time. Weald Of Kent won at Southwell latest but this is tougher, while Smile That Smile could prove better than she showed on her Windsor reappearance.

It's never wise to dismiss a Sir Mark Prescott handicap debutant so Legal Shark has to be considered despite three less than impressive efforts to date, but he could find the greater of experience of WARDEN BOND hard to deal with. William Stone's charge was a good winner at Lingfield in April and had plenty of excuses for his recent run over C&D, as he was hampered in the early stages and never really recovered. Declan Carroll reaches for a tongue strap and blinkers for Hagree, and if the headgear works, he could be a factor.

HOLD FIRM has been a model of consistency this year, and though he is 6lb higher than when successful over C&D in February, he was not far away off just 2lb lower here last time and could take some stopping. Weld Arab struggled at Brighton latest but has much better all-weather form, admittedly over longer trips, while Gilmer drops back in distance after showing up well for a long way over 10 furlongs at Lingfield.
