DESERT IMAGE returned from a spell over the timber to run a good race in a slightly stronger handicap at Lingfield last month. He was doing his best work at the finish that day and should appreciate this longer trip. A form line through the third place that day brings War Owl and Bienheureux into the reckoning and they provide the main opposition.

After shaping well against previous winners in a decent conditions race at Lingfield on her debut, EXEXEL looks to have been found a decent opportunity to get off the mark. Toy Top has had plenty of chances but could stake a claim, although Xaluna Bay and Somoya are bigger dangers with improvement possible.

The form of Babeth's Newmarket fourth has a decent look to it but she failed to build on that run at Southwell last time and this drop in trip may not suit. She still warrants respect here though, as do Loloah and Quote Unquote who were close together latest. BEL CANTOR has had a few chances now but his early season form is the best on offer and his third round here at the weekend gets him the vote.

WOVOKA has by far the strongest form on offer and although his presence at this level is a slight concern he has to be the choice here. His handicap mark is 27lb higher than anything else in the field and this three-time winner should see off the opposition. If he were to misfire then the most likely benefactors are Roman History and Angelina Bankes.

Of those to have run Rebellious Spirit has perhaps shown most but there is a good chance that the Sir Michael Stoute newcomer VIRTUOSITY will be capable of better. A half-sister to smart 6f winner Iceman out of a winning miler, the Pivotal filly is expected to score at the first time of asking. With little to go on the market will provide the best guide to the chances of the remainder.

Little to go on once again and it could be another one for the Sir Michael Stoute yard as ADELFIA sees the racecourse for the first time. A well-related filly, she can provide another winner for her in-form stable. Michael Jarvis also gives a debut to Zorooni and she has claims, while a few of those with a run are entitled to improve and any market support should be noted.

Gaelic Princess looked on the way back to form when fifth over this C&D latest and can confirm the form with seventh home The Gaikwar, but preference is for AFRICAN SAHARA. Debbie Mountain's inmate returned to winning ways at Nottingham earlier in the month, and is expected to relish being back on polytrack.

Burhaan found one too good at Lingfield last week and must be in the shake-up, but stall 12 may not be ideal. Samson Quest was not beaten too far over 7f at Lingfield latest and his win over a mile at the same course previously gives him a chance, but preference is for INKA DANCER. Bryn Palling's filly scored with something in hand at Leicester last month and looks worth taking a chance with on her all-weather debut.
