Dissitation left a poor debut behind to finish third in a big field of maidens at the Curragh, while Flyingit also saved her best performance for a similar contest, proving a liking for heavy ground in the process. Polished Gem and Investment Pearl both shaped as future winners on their respective debut's but this can go to SHARAPOVA who wasn't far behind subsequent Listed winner Race For The Stars on her introduction and meets nothing of that ilk here.

With a string of quality performances at a high level, ABIGAIL PETT has firmly established herself as one of the better juvenile fillies in Ireland and can give weight and a beating to Listed winner Jioconda this afternoon. Reform Act has been beaten by the latter twice so it is left to Aiden O'Brien to provide the main threat to the front pair, with Kieren Fallon's presence aboard Frost Giant suggesting the Giant's Causeway colt is the pick of his duo.

Khachaturian is related to top-class juvenile Berenson and, if he inherits any of the family ability, will be a threat. Even so, it could pay to stick with racecourse experience and the highly-regarded JAMES JOYCE who was undone by the draw on his Doncaster debut but still looked a useful colt by finishing clear on the unfavoured stands side. He should prove up to this task but spare a thought for Liberty Force who had Hiking in behind at the Curragh last week and will come on for the outing.

After proving no match for the smart Alexandrova at Tralee, SHARAMAINE showed her appreciation for an easier assignment by taking second in a fair Galway contest and she gets into her first handicap on a fair mark. She is marginally preferred to fellow nursery debutant Sugar Slam who will relish the step-up from 5f. Gane Cathriona came close to breaking her duck at Down Royal and is respected, as is the experienced Drumin Orpen.

Kilmanin has let down favourite backers the last twice and, while he can't be dismissed lightly, he has something to find with Water Side on last week's Curragh evidence. Itsonlywoody made a welcome return to form at the same course but dropping from 1m2f isn't in his favour. LITTLE NYMPH has been a revelation since stepping into handicap company and beat Ask Carol with considerable ease at Fairyhouse. She should confirm her superiority and rattle up the hat-trick.

Encountering heavy ground proved the making of AKINOLA who destroyed a big field of Curragh handicappers by an ever-widening 10-lengths last week and is capable of supplementing that success, particularly if any more rain falls. 7f was too sharp for Danzelline last time so she should reverse form with Music Celebre over this extra furlong. Sogno Verde has disappointed since landing her maiden but Jamie Spencer gets the leg up today and, along with handicap debutant Uptown, may be the biggest danger.

Briolette's Windsor failure proved that she was flattered by her proximity to Ouija Board at Newmarket but she is still the pick of the Ballydoyle duo. Similarly, Gift Range is preferred to stablemate Fairy Of The Night, with the prevailing conditions likely to suit the more stamina-laden sister to Golan. Mustameet is a worry over this trip so another chance is given to CAIRDEAS who is proving costly to follow but excels when the mud is flying and has a touch of class.

16:15 Leopardstown (IRE) (3YO plus)

Elmwood Handicap (60-90)

MRS GILLOW ran out of her skin to beat all bar Clara Allen in the Irish Cesarewitch and, providing that marathon test hasn't taken too much out of her, she should gain some compensation. Out In The Open only just failed to follow up her maiden success when touched off at the Curragh but looks a lively danger with Fallon on board. The assessor now appears to have Dynah Mo Hum's measure but Whoneedswings has contested much better races than this and is interesting on her handicap debut.
