BARTON ROSE has not been at her very best in recent starts but the nine-year-old arrives here just 1lb higher in the ratings than when a close third at Newton Abbot in July and is taken to bounce back. Psychocandy may improve for the application of a first-time visor, while Marienstar has the form to go well but the 207-day break has to be a concern. Hollow Park is not the most reliable of mares but could go well if running up to her best form.

PEPPAY LE PUGH was successful in his first two starts for this yard and his second-placed finish, to a course specialist, at Fontwell last time out suggests that he can win races off this kind of mark. I'dliketheoption is another who brings strong recent form to the table and must be feared, while Mercian King and Brave Dancing also merit places on the shortlist.

Baden is arguably the one to beat based on his victory at Ludlow in May but he was off the bridle for a long way on that occasion and that has to be a concern. With that in mind, the preference is for OVERLAND FLYER, who has finished second in both previous starts over fences. The handicapper has given the son of Westerner a big chance by dropping him to a mark of 126 and he hails from a yard that have had plenty of winners in recent weeks. Gunfleet is another who has a solid form chance but the lack of a recent run is a worry.

ENRILO cost 100,000 euros as a store in June 2017 so makes a fair amount of appeal on his debut for Paul Nicholls. His half-sister was Listed placed in France over hurdles and the yard are more than capable of readying one in this sphere. Glen Vine is from a family that the David Pipe team know extremely well with his dam, Gaspara, a Cheltenham Festival winner and other relatives of her being in his care. Playit Again Harry and Raise Your Shades represent yards that do well in bumpers and both are worth a market check.

MONTY'S AWARD returned with a commendable effort when second to Carntop here over 2m in August. His pedigree suggests he will improve now up in distance and there could be more to come on his second outing after a wind operation. Truckers Lodge is likely to come forward from his first outing for Paul Nicholls and has a set of cheekpieces to aid concentration. Others worthy of consideration include Commodore Barry, Francky Du Berlais and Blackdown Hills.

DR SANDERSON caught the eye when getting off the mark at Carlisle in the spring, and is of serious interest here having switched to Paul Nicholls since changing ownership. It would be no surprise to see the Jeremy gelding make a smooth transition to hurdling and he can see off the point winner It's For Alan, who makes his first Rules appearance here in a hood. Dancing Doug was only beaten a length on his hurdles bow in April, while Ballyfarsoon has bumped into two useful winners the last twice and arrives with solid claims.

Tomorrow Mystery was a useful performer when on the Flat with Jamie Osborne and the Nathaniel filly is interesting on her first start for Paul Nicholls following a 13-month layoff. However, preference is for Listed bumper winner OSCAR ROSE, who has threatened to be really useful over hurdles and should enjoy conditions switching back to novice company. It would be no surprise to see Wilde Spirit and Another Theatre involved in the battle for minor honours.
