An interesting maiden which contains an interesting newcomer in the shape of Dick Tracy, a 115,000-euro purchase for Richard Hannon. He should give a decent account but preference is for FIRST UP, who ran well in the Convivial when fifth behind the impressive Rivet and will have learnt plenty from that effort. Eynhallow and Zainhom both showed promise on debut and cannot be discounted.

AL DESTOOR made a pleasing return to action at Hamilton in July after a long absence for new trainer Jennie Candlish and he could prove better than a rating of 75 given time. He receives a tentative vote to take this ahead of Darrington, who returned to form at Thirsk last month and has William Buick booked. Woody Bay won well here earlier in the summer and merits consideration off a mark just 2lb higher.

An interesting mix of proven Listed/Group performers and improving handicappers assemble. Lord Of The Land seems to have relished the move to sprint company and recent efforts behind the likes of The Tin Man, Toscanini and Finsbury Square read well. He's a tempting proposition but DANZENO will find this easier than the Nunthorpe and the best of his classy Group form affords him the vote. Great St Wilfrid winner Nameitwhatyoulike and the solid Scrutineer are next best.

DUNDUNAH can be forgiven her run over 6f here last time, as 6f may have been just too far for her at this stage of her career. Prior to that she had only been narrowly denied on debut over C&D and that form gives her an outstanding chance today. That said, Her Terms and Spinnaker Bay will not be easy to beat based upon their most recent efforts. Kodicat, Kruger Park and Mezah also make the shortlist.

The progressive Swashbuckle should have much more to offer after just five career starts but steps up half a mile in trip now and will also find this tougher company to handle than at Ffos Las the last twice. The Dashing Blade colt seems sure to go well if staying but BRITTLETON rates a solid alternative and may be available at an each-way price. He stays well and is still improving. Touch The Sky, Arrowtown and Slunovrat are others noted in an open affair.

Laughton was not too far away in a 5f apprentice handicap on Ebor day and could go well over this longer trip. Hat-trick seeker Belledesert steps up in grade but is also respected in her present mood and could similarly give a good account. Preferred ahead of all, however, is FLYING PURSUIT, who caught the eye when second in the Shergar Cup Sprint and is expected to capitalise on this drop in grade to get back on the winning trail.

Mukhayyam was beaten by under a length off this mark and over this trip at Hamilton last time and is an admirably consistent sort that is unlikely to be far away at the finish. However, there are a couple of less exposed types lurking further down the weights that are considered stronger options for win purposes. First-time cheekpieces could liven up MIDNIGHT WHISTLER on his return from a break, while Pointillism has claims too.
