Used to be trained by Carlos Laffon-Parias, he was a winner on his first start in a 12f Listed race for Christopher Head. Just beaten on his second start in the Gr3 Prix de Barbeville on his first attempt over 1m7f.

Trainer says

He only ran the other day. I like this horse very much and this was his first time over 1m7f. We had the rail and so went to the front and then they went early, which helped the horses further back. However, he ran a cracking race and I am very happy with that run. We now have two options. Either we keep him over the longer trips and take him to the Gr1 Prix Vicomtesse Vigier or we go back to 12f and go for the Grand Prix de Chantilly.

Very lightly raced, she only made her debut this year in the provinces when she won a 10f race, but was less effective on her second outing.

Trainer says

She will be competitive in the French handicaps, unless she gets penalised straight away. She has only run twice and will have to run another time before she gets a handicap mark. Depending on what they give her, we will seek out a race for her, probably somewhere in the provinces.

A Listed winner in the provinces last year, she was just beaten by Ombudsman in the Group 3 Prix du Prince d’Orange and then produced a good run in the Gr1 Prix de l’Opéra where she finished fifth behind Friendly Soul.

She has only just arrived in my yard, as she was trained last year by Henri-François Devin. She is going to have her first start for me on the 22nd of May in a Listed race over the mile. She is in fine form. Her long-term target will be the Prix Jean Romanet at Deauville, but we will take our time.

If everything goes well, he will make his seasonal reappearance on the 25th of May in the Prix Palais Royal. It is a Group 3 race over 7 furlongs. He is as always in great form. He really is a magnificent Wootton Bassett and it’s a joy to see him evolve year after year. He is incredible. For the time being, he is staying in France, but we are potentially looking at the Queen Elizabeth II Jubilee Stakes at Royal Ascot. However, the main target is the Prix Maurice de Gheest.

Made a very nice effort in the final straight to win on her debut for unraced fillies over 10f in March this year.

She won well on her debut but suffered a little set-back in training, but she will come back later in the season. It was a real shame as her debut was great and we had found another race for her, which would have been perfect. But she will come back. We don’t want to rush it as she has a lot of potential.

His only defeat in four starts came at the hands of his stable companion Maranoa Charlie in the Group 3 Prix Thomas Bryon last season and he has already won a mile race this year where he comfortably beat some nice three-year-olds.

Trainer says

He is going to run in the Poule d’Essai des Poulains. He won on his seasonal reappearance in a good time, which was nearly the same as the Prix de Fontainebleau the week before. So, he knows the track at Longchamp, he is owned by Nurlan Bizakov and I am delighted that he can line up in this event. He is very easy to ride and can be positioned anywhere in the race, which is so important in these kind of races.

Unfortunately, she had a little set-back after her last start, so we will have to wait until later in the season to see her again, but she is an interesting filly. I liked very much what she showed me last time out and her family only improves so I am looking forward to seeing her again.

Trainer says

He will be making his seasonal reappearance in the Poule d’Essai des Poulains. It’s unusual for us in France to do that. He is a horse who hasn’t been with me very long. However, the work that was done with him beforehand in the provinces on the treadmill shows that he is already well advanced in his fitness, which allows me to do some fine-tuning and prepare him for the French 2000 Guineas. He can go in any ground. His owners are taking a gamble and I’m delighted with it, as unlike Aidan O’Brien, we don’t often have the opportunity to run our horses in this race without having enjoyed a run beforehand. It will be interesting to see if it is possible to prepare a horse for a Gr1 race without a prep race.

Has already run four times this season and was a winner on the all-weather in the Provinces over 8 ½ furlongs.

He is an interesting horse. He has speed and loves a good straight. I liked his attitude when he won at Pornichet. I think he likes good ground, as last time at Lion d’Angers it was too soft. So, I think we are better off to run him over 7 furlongs on good ground and on bigger racecourses.

We are going to keep him back until a Listed race over the mile on the 28th of June, in order to prepare him for the Secretariat Stakes in the United States at the beginning of August. It’s a nice project.

Has only been beaten once in five starts and that was in the Gr1 Grand Criterium where he finished fourth behind 2,000 Guineas favourite Twain.

Trainer says

He came out well from his last start and will probably run in the Prix Texanita over six furlongs. It’s a Group 3 race for three-year-olds, which is run on the 16th of May. It is possible that speed will catch him out, but Aurelien rode him beautifully last time when he was in the lead. He has shown that he is easier to handle now. So, there is a possibility that he is a Commonwealth Cup horse. If he is not and he is found out by the real sprinters then you can’t come across in the Commonwealth Cup and he could go for the Paul de Moussac, a Group 3 over 7 furlongs, which then would lead him to his target, the Gr1 Prix Jean Prat. We have a lot of choices, as he could also go for the Jersey Stakes. We shall see how he goes, but he has enjoyed a great winter and has come out of it in great form.

A winner of a 9 ½ furlong maiden last season, he has been brought back in trip and has excelled in a mile handicap on his last start at ParisLongchamp.

He is a fun horse. He will continue his slow ascent in the handicaps. He is going for a mile race on the 16th of May, which is open to horses between a handicap mark of 37 and 46. I like this horse. He has stamina, he has speed and he always does everything right. Physically, he is very good looking. As I said, I like him a lot.

She wasn’t a 100% ready for her seasonal reappearance. So, I’m not really worried that she was beaten. In fact, I liked how she ran, even though she was beaten, because it was a very serious race. It was more a Group 1 race than a Group 3 race. I’m not negative about it. She is going to improve throughout the season and probably run in a Class 2 race in May and then we will get her ready for the Prix Sandringham.

She is an interesting filly. She has been so unlucky that she hasn’t won her maiden yet. But I’m sure it is just a question of time before she does. She is a filly to follow and could be very competitive in a handicap even without having won a maiden.

She ran very green on her debut. She will run over 7 furlongs next at Saint-Cloud in June. I have a lot of hope for this filly. I ran her over 5 furlongs because she showed me a lot of speed, just like No Tune. But it is not the same sort of speed. She is really a filly for races between 7 furlongs and the mile and I believe that she will have a nice season.

He is going to run in the Prix Hunyade over 6f on the 19th of May at Saint-Cloud. He is a son of Wootton Basset and his dam is by Frankel. He has shown me that he is a serious horse.

Very impressive on her debut when she beat a field by 3½ lengths in the 5 f Prix Epinard.

She is a serious and incredible filly. There is speed everywhere. She does everything you ask her and I like her a lot. She could take us quite far this season. She could run in the Prix du Bois, the Papin and then the Morny. Or the Cheveley Park Stakes. Her next race anyhow is on the 16th of May where she will be ridden again by Maxime Guyon. She is magnificent and just beautiful. We love her in the yard as she does everything you want her to do. She is perfect.
