Verdict

COWBOY COOPER got back to winning ways over C&D last time and a 6lb rise is unlikely to prevent him from going in again given the ease of that success, not to mention he won this race last year. I See The Sea performed well in defeat at Catterick and should be thereabouts, while you can also make a case for Jirko.

Expert View Verdict

COWBOY COOPER can repeat last yeear's win in the race. Back to form over C&D last time, when winning in good style, he's been nudged up 6lb but still appeals as being on a nice mark. Jirko has finished second or third on all three starts since switching to fences, placing over C&D the last twice, and he can serve it up to the selection, although Swallows Song isn't one to write off having had a wind op. He could yet have a bigger effort in him in blinkers.
