Verdict
The key to this race is clearly the distance. A number of the international runners have very good and consistent form, but over shorter trips. LUCKY DU DONJON (7) will strip fitter after two comeback performances, is racing barefoot, and looks ready to strike. LOUP SOLITAIRE (8) is also without shoes and should be competitive over a distance that suits. FACE WISE AS (4) and DUKE OF NEW YORK (3) have both impressed in their home countries over shorter distances and can be lively dangers if as effective over this trip.
