Verdict

WELLWHATSHAPPENIN hasn't raced since December, but showed nice form and can continue to improve as a progressive four-year-old. He scored over C&D in October and while beaten by Bucky Larson last time, he is 6lb better off. He is closely matched with Distillate and Alex Belardo on November and December meetings respectively, and both those rivals have run well recently. Amemri is out of form, but she is a five-time track-and-trip winner whose rating continues to fall. The maiden Desert Of The Sea is drawn wide, but he has useful form from his low rating.

Expert View Verdict

This looks competitive and WELLWHATSHAPPENIN looks the way to go given his consistent and progressive run of form since getting back on the AW since October. He ran to his best upped to 8f here last time and we know he's just as effective at this shorter trip while first-time cheekpieces could also give him a boost. Kitty Bear is an in-form filly who looks of some interest dropping to 7f - all her recent form is at 8f but she's often shaped as though this trip would suit. She's the danger, although Georg Zhukov is fairly interesting also down in trip having failed to get home over further here last time.
