Verdict
THEMANINTHEANORAK ran well in a recent maiden hurdle and should compete in his first handicap. A useful winner of a good-ground Listowel bumper over this distance back in June, he showed that ability when finishing second to a capable winner over shorter at Clonmel earlier this month. Apologise's most recent form figures are poor, but he scored twice over hurdles last season and likes soft ground. The keen-going On Your Way hasn't raced since winning at Limerick in January, but is also suited by testing conditions.
Expert View Verdict
An open race can go to the unexposed THEMANINTHEANORAK who proved steadily progressive in maidens. The way he finished off his race last time suggested that he would have much more to offer now handicapping over longer trips such as this. Blue Reed raced too close to a strong pace last time but is well treated on his winter form and has the potential for an easy lead here. He could be tough to peg back if doing so and looks a big threat along with Leis Fein who posted an improved effort last time. Whilst he is not one to rely on backing that up he could be well treated returned to handicaps.
