Verdict
MOMENT OF LIGHT (winner) had the measure of Parisian Scholar (second) when the pair met over track and trip last time and although a 6lb swing should favour the latter, it might not be enough. Starship Trooper shaped with promise on his return at Southwell three weeks ago and should be capable of better, as might Green Falcon, who sports first-time cheekpieces for his handicap bow.
Expert View Verdict
Just the five runners but a fascinating contest with Moment Of Light and Parisian Scholar closely matched on their C&D running from five weeks ago. Success for either wouldn't surprise but STARSHIP TROOPER is a potential improver now handicapping with him having shaped with a good deal of promise when third in a good Southwell maiden last time. He represents a rider/trainer combo that has a fine record at this venue. Devil's Peak has been gelded since his last run - he hasn't looked straightforward - but stamina is a small concern so Green Falcon could emerge as a greater threat tried in cheekpieces on handicap debut.
