Verdict
BALGOWAN should take some stopping in the finale. He has been in good nick at Lingfield this year, on the turf and all-weather, and has performed well at this track before too. Connections seem to have found him another winnable opening and George Downing getting back in the saddle is a further positive. He can get the better of Break Point and Nelson Gate.
Expert View Verdict
Gary Moore holds a strong hand here. Our Papa Smurf has had his issues but he proved he retained his ability with a hurdles win over the winter and is potentially well treated on his Flat return. However so is NELSON GATE who remains a maiden but has been in good form in both codes for the last year. He is on a dangerous mark based on his course form from last summer and is completely unexposed as a stayer so gets the verdict. The admirably consistent Balgowan looks the biggest danger from outside the stable.
