Verdict

SCORSESE finished third in a stronger race behind Jordans Cross at Cheltenham last month when arguably producing a career-best effort. The ease in grade represents an ideal opportunity for the eight-year-old to gain a second victory over the larger obstacles. Mon Champion fell when holding every chance at Leicester and has shaped as though stepping up in trip would bring about some improvement. Rodney and Noble Park appear best of the remainder.

Expert View Verdict

It may be worth giving another chance to NOBLE PARK, who has failed to meet with expectations in two starts since bolting up at Lingfield in November but would have found 3m on soft ground stretching him at Doncaster last time and he's now been eased 2lb. With the ground hopefully more in his favour here there'll be no excuses this time. Rodney is on a four-timer and afforded plenty of respect despite having a further 5lb rise to deal with.
