BECKY LOU was a relatively disappointing third at Doncaster last time after looking a filly of potential when sixth in the Albany Stakes at Royal Ascot behind Newfangled. She looked ill-at-ease at Doncaster but that may have been down to the fast ground and she's worth another chance returned to arguably more suitable conditions. White Coppice showed potential on debut here but the consistent Sorella Bella has the form in the book to be rated the most viable danger.

COMMUNICATOR was tremendously impressive last time when scoring at this track and will not be inconvenienced should conditions deteriorate. He's understandably been subjected to a 9lb rise for that runaway success but remains on the upgrade and the extra distance should be well within his compass. Quiz Mistress found Group company too taxing last time but has strong claims on her previous second to Number Theory in the Old Newton Cup. Midsummer Sun, Area Fifty One and Rosslyn Castle are all noteworthy too.

A frantic spectacle but a punting nightmare with nothing discounted despite the field size. Bannock has strong claims despite being a three-year-old conceding weight all round and a repeat of his excellent second to Gordon Lord Byron at the Ebor meeting will see him go close. However, fellow youngster STRICTLY SILVER also ran a stormer at York when runner-up in a hot handicap and is preferred. Brae Hill, Galician and Toto Skyllachy are just a trio of others will decent hopes.

Saeed Bin Suroor has a modest strike-rate here over the past five years compared to his excellent overall performance and HOODNA is only the sixth juvenile the yard have sent here in that time. However, the filly looked a potentially high-quality performer on debut and can follow-up here. Coincidently ran a splendid race on her Newmarket debut behind Zanetto and looks a major, threat with the more exposed pair of Mandy Layla and All On Red looking next best.

Another trappy contest in which avoiding trouble in running will be paramount. JEDWARD has bagged the rail draw and if Julie Burke can get the mare out quickly then she'll give a good account if over a below par effort last time. She'd previously finished a close fourth to Taajub at Ascot and landed a competitive Newmarket handicap. Stable companion Lexi's Hero keeps suggesting he's about to rediscover his best, while Mappin Time, Sohraab (poorly drawn) and recent winner Mayoman are all respected.

Plenty of in-form performers to wrestle with here but SUZI'S A CLASS ACT has hit form with a vengeance the last twice and a repeat of her gutsy front-running tactics could pay dividends around this idiosyncratic track. However, she has yet to score over this trip and stakes should be estimated accordingly. Ethics Girl is a decent sort but her best form has arrived on good ground so the consistent and reliable pair of Lady Bluesky and Teak rate stronger threats.

Another punting conundrum but ELUSIVE BONUS is in good heart this term with three wins, all on ground with soft in the description. She's well drawn in box three and the promising David Bergin takes off a valuable 7lb, having already partnered the daughter of Elusive City to all three of those successes this season. Economic Crisis should also like the ground and has a good draw, with Baltic Bomber, One Kool Dude and Just Like Heaven noted in an open sprint.
