Gordon Elliott has a great record at this venue and may have the answer here with BOOTHEN BOY. The son of Getaway showed plenty of promise on debut when beating all bar the 120-rated Palace Rock, with subsequent winner Nazine in third, in a 19-runner maiden hurdle at Navan back in March. He wasn't disgraced later that month in a Listed bumper at Limerick and has been given time to develop over the summer. Alexharwill has been placed on his latest three starts all at this venue and should find a winning opportunity soon, while Willie Mullins is represented by Dads Lad and Derracrin who are both switched to hurdles having shown some ability in bumpers.

ROCK ON SEAMIE has proved a good servant to connections winning three times on the Flat and added to that tally when justifying favouritism in a lady riders handicap hurdle at Navan last month. Ray Hackett's charge has only gone up 4lb for that success and should again give a good account in a competitive event. Dazzling Darren also comes here in good form having won on the Flat and over hurdles and was bidding for a hat-trick when runner-up to So Near So Farhh over course and distance last time. Kilashee will ensure a good pace and may have found three miles too far at Gowran Park recently, while Wild Shot and Top Line Tommy filled the minor places behind Perfect Attitude at Clonmel last week.

FALLEN FOREST hasn't run over hurdles since last winter but comes here in good form from the Flat. The dual-purpose gelding has scored this year at both Dundalk and Bellewstown plus a number of decent placed efforts including when runner-up to Blue Shadow on the polytrack last time. Further encouragement can be taken from the yard winning a maiden hurdle at Gowran last Friday. Willyouwalkwithme beat the staying on Fassbender by over four lengths over course and distance last month and there shouldn't be much between the pair on these revised terms. The Abbey and recent Clonmel winner Fleurys Fort are others to consider.

Gigginstown hold a strong hand here and FISSA gets the vote to open his account. The son of Saddler Maker has been placed on three of his four completed starts and was just denied by Julies Stowaway on the latest of those at Clonmel in May. The winner followed up in handicap company off a mark of 127 and the form received a further boost when the third won a Punchestown maiden hurdle. Favori De Champdou is in the same ownership and boasts some smart bumper form but has not been seen since winning at Thurles early last year. He was due to reappear at the Listowel Festival but connections felt the ground was not suitable. Bout Time Bobby went close over course and distance in August and may have found three miles a bit far at Listowel last time.

WELL JOEY is a four-time winner over fences and has threatened to add to that tally since reverting to hurdles on a much more favourable mark in recent months. The Paul Stafford-trained gelding was just pegged back in the final strides at Galway last month and again took a share of the minor money last time at the Listowel Festival. Will You Win was placed a couple of times in maiden hurdles and was having her first crack at handicap company when a creditable fourth at Gowran Park last Friday. Rossies Tara also shaped with some promise recently on her handicap debut at Gowran and may have more scope for improvement than most of these.

Robbie Power made a welcome return to action after back surgery when successful aboard Gin On Lime at Tipperary last Sunday and he teams up here for the same connections with CLONDAW BERTIE. The selection won his only start in point-to-points and was having his first outing for the De Bromhead yard when runner-up in a Galway maiden hurdle last month. He finished in mid-division last time at Listowel off a mark of 109, which is the hurdle rating limit to qualify for this race. Gelee Blanche had Imperial Sachin's three lengths behind when placed in a similar event at Sligo last month, while Rightplacerightime is another for the shortlist after finishing second at Galway on his first start for Emmet Mullins. Handsworth showed promise when fourth in a 20-runner handicap hurdle at Leopardstown last Christmas but has lost his way since.

CARNET DE STAGE may defy top-weight with the assistance of Jack Foley's valuable 7lb claim. The six-year-old has already shown a liking for a tight right-handed track when runner-up twice at Tramore including when beaten less than two lengths by Cluan Dara in August. He was staying on in the closing stages when fourth to Northern Love over 2m4f at Listowel last time. Ballinasilla jumped well when runner-up to the progressive Glenquin Castle at Kilbeggan but needs to bounce back after failing to reproduce that form subsequently at Wexford. Court Adjourned and Capture The Drama are two light-weights to consider.
