MARSA showed notable improvement from her lacklustre debut effort when chasing home subsequent Listed fourth Exquisite Acclaim over 6f here last month. The third has won since and, having been nearest at the finish and being out of a mare by Monsun, stepping up a furlong looks a good move. Grizabella was fourth to a subsequent Listed winner on debut at Tipperary and had Save Your Breath just behind when third over this trip at Galway. She looks a major player along with Lechro, who was third in a valuable auction event at Naas. The form of that race has worked out quite well and the daughter of Highland Reel looks sure to improve for going a bit further here.

NAVAGIO has run two solid races in decent maidens and might get his turn here. He was only a little over a length off subsequent winner Aikhal when third over this trip at Cork and filled the same spot over a mile at the Curragh last time. Keen on that occasion, coming back to seven might be a good move and he gained experience of this surface in a barrier trial. Jack Rose has shown plenty of ability in two Curragh maidens and, coming from Eddie Lynam's stable, there is little reason to doubt that he'll act on Polytrack. The Slade Power colt looks a leading contender along with Mount Fairweather, who made the running when placed a couple of times during the summer before running below par when last seen at Roscommon.

RAMON DI LORIA was second to Puerto de Vega over course and distance when last seen in July and may be able to go one better. The winner disappointed next time but the fourth and fifth both got their heads in front subsequently. Tracey Collins' charge won first time out this year at Sligo so the three month lay-off is not a concern. Monzoon has won on the polytrack before and was in great form in August when winning at the Curragh and finishing second at Navan. He's likely to bounce back from a below-par effort last time. Fly Girl made a winning start for her new trainer at Bellewstown but is unproven on this surface whereas Sheila has winning form on the all-weather in Britain but may find seven furlongs a bit sharp after scoring over a mile at Listowel.

SISTER LOLA was caught close home over a bit further at Belllewstown and will be happier back at seven furlongs. She had won her previous two starts over course and distance and is clearly in good heart. Windsor Pass didn't have the clearest of runs when beaten a neck over this trip at the Curragh. That was her third time to finish in the runner-up spot this season and she should go close off a 3lb higher mark, albeit she's unproven on this surface. Course and distance specialists Major Power and Pulse Of Shanghai can never be ruled out around here and the latter, who rattled up a hat-trick at this venue last autumn, ran well after a lay-off over 5f last week and should be better for the run.

MEISHAR has won over shorter trips at this venue and got a mile well when second to the Frankie Dettori-ridden Trueba at Bellewstown last week. The Argentinian-bred is thriving at the moment and should be able to get a good position from stall two. Star Harbour didn't run up to his best at Listowel but had very good form in premier handicaps prior to that. The topweight had Dream Tale over a length behind when fifth in the Irish Cambridgeshire in August and is still open to improvement. Course maiden winner Ozymandis is also unexposed and wasn't beaten far on handicap debut at the Curragh, while four-time polytrack winner Alhaazm may do better back at this trip after finishing fifth over ten furlongs here last time.

CLEW BAY had four of these rivals behind when winning over C&D three weeks ago and can defy a 6lb hike. The New Bay filly had been gradually progressive prior to that first success and looks like a type who could improve again. Mokhles was third to the selection last time and meets her on the same terms. He only has a length to find and was a winner at this venue on his previous start so looks sure to be competitive again. Cursory Exam has some decent Polytrack form over shorter trips and connections are giving him a try over this distance for just the second time. Shamiyan won over 1m4f here last winter and has an in-form claimer aboard.

BORN LEADER had plenty of placed efforts in Britain and ran her best race for in-form Eoin McCarthy when sixth to Clew Bay over C&D last month. The Nathaniel mare might be capable of winning a handicap of this nature, and the very accomplished Cian MacRedmond will have options from a good draw. A winner over an extended nine furlongs at Gowran in June, Duquesa Beach has held her form very well since and has to be on the shortlist, although this trip seems to stretch her stamina. Quiet Desire just got the better of three-time course winner Getaway Queen over 12f here in May and although this trip might be a little shorter than their optimum, both mares have to enter calculations given how effective they are on this surface.

ONLY SKY was a winner over this trip at Ballinrobe when last seen in July. She got home by a neck from Phoenix Cowboy, who has won twice since, and the Sea The Stars filly is effectively off a lower mark here with Scott McCullagh taking 5lb off her back. She ran in a barrier trial here last year so has some experience of the Polytrack. Clonmel maiden winner Shahaada was staying on in third over nine furlongs at Punchestown so going 12f is worth a try, while Rock Chant also looked like he would appreciate further when breaking his maiden at Cork. Ratib beat recent Group 3 winner Bear Story in a maiden here last year but has been disappointing in recent outings on turf.
