MAGIC CHARM was backed to deliver over course and distance last month before finishing third, after giving best in the final 150 yards. He has to rate a threat off 1lb higher, with more to come on his second crack at this trip. Ms Thompson is improving and came through to dead heat for first in the race that Magic Charm finished third in. She has gone up 5lbs for that and has to go on the shortlist. Treble Cone kept on well for fourth over a mile at this track just over a fortnight ago. It has been a long time since he raced over this extended 10 furlongs but he looks worth another shot at it. Quiet Desire broke a string of 'duck eggs' when just pipped by a nose at 66/1 over course and distance. The time of that race was slow, though, so a watching brief may be best to see if she builds upon that performance. Philly's Hope wasn't beaten far in her last two outings over a mile and now tries a new trip.

Competitive stuff. Everyhouronthehour won by a nose over a mile here and the runner-up came out and franked the form. A rise of 2lbs doesn't look punitive, however, he is unproven at this trip. FRYERNS was a hands and heels winner by a length over course and distance in early November. With Sam Ewing's claim factored in, she races off just 3lbs higher and could follow up. Donoch landed a mile and a half handicap on his last visit here and looks nicely in with Joey Sheridan's claim being utilised, in addition to first-time cheekpieces. Gormanston has been placed in four of his last five appearances on the Polytrack, and it wouldn't be a surprise to see him make the breakthrough off his current mark. Royal Admiral was beaten by a head and a neck in two claimers at this track last month and has to be respected. The handicapper gave Papal Parade a chance and she responded when third on her last start. She isn't out of it.

ROYAL HIGHNESS looks the part. She was beaten a head and a nose into third in a six-furlong claimer here on her penultimate start. She faced a tough task when next seen in a rated race but her seventh place can be marked up as the form is working out well. She is a former course and distance winner and Mike O'Connor claims 10lbs from her back which puts her on a fighting weight. Boitron's rating is very much built upon back form when a Listed winner and fourth in a Group One in 2018. It looked like there was still ability in his locker when he just failed by a head in a claimer last month but he was then blown away by seven lengths in the same grade a couple of weeks ago, albeit by a horse who rekindled some of his excellent Australian form. He is hard to weigh up but a 7lb claimer has been enlisted and he should be competitive at these weights. Bay Of Skaill is drawn to attack from stall one and could make good use of it. She led throughout from low draws when placed here in October and November, and it may be best to put a line through her last start when drawn out in the car park in 16. Despite that horror draw, she was beaten just over three lengths at the finish. Togoville ought to give Siobhan Rutledge a good spin.

A good race. HALE BOPP stayed on well to post a victory over course and distance in October, and has the opportunity to follow up. The horse that was beaten half a length into second came out and easily shed his maiden tag by four lengths on his next start to really boost the form. Let Me Pass was a comfortable winner of his maiden at this venue under Mikey Sheehy and the 5lb claimer is reunited with him. He has an official rating of 92 and will be a tough nut to crack. Messidor is another course and distance winner who really found her stride on the Polytrack. She is open to plenty of improvement. Newcomers Allez Barza, First Blood, Stellar Spirit and Mr Mocha are worth a market check.

Ginato has been runner-up in his last two races at this track and is much better drawn today, so should be on the premises. ABLAH beat him by a length and three quarters over course and distance last month and could repeat the feat, though. She got 7lbs for that victory but, with Cian MacRedmond's claim, only carries 3lbs extra. The third home in that race has since obliged to frank the form. Taylored ran a cracker on nursery debut over seven furlongs when getting to within a neck of the favourite. He has to be feared off the same mark. Baltinglass Abbey showed promise when second a couple of weeks ago. She was a neck in front of Drish Venture who showed speed off the front. That pair will be hunting a cheque.

Ferociously competitive for the grade. A lot of these horses have been racing against each other in recent times and an each-way play on SESTRIERE is the suggestion. She kept on without threatening in fourth over the minimum trip when last seen here, and has been dropped by a further 2lbs. The horse behind her in fifth won on his next start. Sestriere is a long-standing maiden but she should run her race (placed eight times including over this trip) and perhaps today will be the day from a good draw in three. Keepthebestsideout got her turn last month when beating several of these which entitles her to respect. Cian MacRedmond is forging an alliance with Ado McGuinness and his 7lb claim could be invaluable on in-form Pillar who is a significant danger. Joint top-weight Fit For Function is more than capable of getting involved. Tynamite drops back in trip after a decent effort in third over seven furlongs and has claims.

BOBBY K put in plenty of good late work to get up for third on his Dundalk debut at the end of October, and there should be more to come from him on this surface. During his career in Britain he won at three all-weather tracks - Southwell, Chelmsford City and Lingfield. He was well backed to score here and it will be interesting to see if the money comes again. This is a drop in class for Point Reyes and she has an each-way chance at a price. She is a former winner over this mile trip in Dundalk, and an improved display in calmer waters could be on the way. Well Suited was a solid second at 16/1 over course and distance but this is a better grade. Sagittarius Rising hasn't convinced over a mile on turf and now tries it on his Polytrack debut. He won over six furlongs on heavy ground at the Curragh last month, so arrives in good nick but with the surface an unknown he is passed over.

There should be more races to be won with Angel Palanas. He was in rude health for Pat Murphy and has switched to Leanne Breen. Luke McAteer gets on well with him but the pair have been winning over seven furlongs, so preference is for MERCHANT OF VENICE. This five-year-old gelding won three times in Britain (all over a mile) for James Fanshawe and there was a lot to like about his staying-on second over seven furlongs on Irish debut for Ado McGuinness last month. The winner has since followed up, so the form looks good. Reverberation has had a good year with three victories banked. He avails of Sam Ewing's claim and has a chance. Juyush was a ready winner, in a lower grade, over course and distance but this is tougher and he is up 9lbs in the weights, so improvement will be required.
