BEAT THE BREEZE arrives in search of a hat-trick following a brace of victories at Chelmsford in recent weeks and he is more than capable of handling a 4lb rise for the latter success. On The Right Track appreciated the drop back in trip when scoring at Wolverhampton last month and is entitled to be competitive along with Three Dragons, who is unexposed stepping up in distance.

MAKE IT RAIN produced a career best over C&D when scoring in comfortable fashion and a 6lb rise is unlikely to prove an issue for the daughter of Night Of Thunder as she remains open to further improvement on the all-weather. Yes My Boy relished the step up to 1m2f here last week and has to be respected under a penalty, while Furzig and Young Fire cannot be discounted.

The newcomers appeal more than those in the field with experience and the vote goes to WANNABE SAFE. She comes from a strong homebred family, being a half-sister to a Group 3 winner over this trip, and represents top connections who can ready one for their first start. Abstinence commands respect being from a sire that her handler has enjoyed plenty of success with in recent seasons, while Monjazaat and Eastern Dawn are others worthy of consideration.

OCEAN ROAD did plenty wrong despite finishing second at Nottingham in October and should be wiser for that experience. Reluctant to load and slowly away, the half-sister to Grade 1 winner Wigmore Hall finished well and only lost out against a filly who had a prior track outing to her name. Lochnaver took a step forward from her debut to finish third at Chelmsford a fortnight ago and should appreciate this extra yardage, while of the newcomers, Serena's Queen appeals most being a sister to Group 1 winner Rizeena.

EJTILAAB won't find this easy trying to give weight all round, but he doesn't have much mileage on the all-weather and might be able to build on his recent Chelmsford success for Ian Williams. The Slade Power gelding has another 5lb rise to deal with up in class, but looks a fairly straightforward ride and might be up to this challenge. Total Commitment beat a good yardstick at Kempton over 6f last month but is unproven over 7f, while Fox Duty Free struck on stable debut over C&D for Ralph Beckett four weeks ago and could have more to offer.

ARTHUR'S ANGEL's recent form reads well and the quick turnaround following his breakthrough Chelmsford success last Friday suggests he's come out of that race in good nick. He must shoulder a 6lb penalty for that win, but the booking of 3lb claimer Darragh Keenan eases that burden in the saddle and there should be plenty more to come. James Doyle was aboard Decadent when she finished a close-up third on nursery debut in first-time cheekpieces at Lingfield eight days ago, so her supporters will be pleased to see him keep the ride. She is respected, and you can throw Nurse Dee into the mix too.

GUMRA arrives in excellent form and the progressive filly is the one they all have to beat. She shoulders a 6lb penalty for her latest Chelmsford success, so has to give weight to all of her rivals in this handicap and most of them are a lot more experienced, but her wins at Newcastle and Chelmsford the last twice were very impressive and cheekpieces seem to have worked the oracle. David O'Meara's charge can make it four on the spin at the main expense of Blame Culture and Mamillius.

ROCHESTER HOUSE's Glorious Goodwood defeat over the extended 2m4f was agonising, as he led everywhere but the line. He clearly has plenty of ability, though, as shown when winning over this distance at Ascot last time (C'Est No Mour back in fourth), and he definitely has a race of this nature within his compass. Battle Of Marathon claimed the notable scalp of Australis at Chelmsford latest and heads the list of dangers from Monjeni.
