EXTRA MAG looked set to make a winning debut over hurdles at Wetherby in November prior to unseating his rider at the last. With a clear round of jumping, the four-year-old can provide his supporters with some valuable compensation this afternoon. Precious Bounty took a step forward when going down narrowly at Leicester last time out and he could pose the biggest threat to the selection, ahead of Rock Steady and Indian Harbour.

TRANS EXPRESS arrives here following two victories and the most recent of those came over this C&D. A 2lb rise in the ratings for that success is very fair and he could take plenty of beating this afternoon. Cliffs Of Dover appears to be finding his form again based on his third-placed finish last time out, while Dandolo Du Gite and Ebony Gale complete the shortlist.

Harry Fry inmate CARIBERT showed plenty of promise in three bumper outings last term, winning a valuable pot under a penalty when last sighted at Newbury in March, and is one to monitor closely in the betting now debuting over hurdles and returning from a break. Glen Vine is entitled to build on a solid introduction in a Worcester bumper in October and has place claims, though the biggest danger to the selection may be the experienced Article Fifty, who is having his first start since undergoing wind surgery.

ACHILLE has picked up minor money on testing ground over similar trips at Wincanton and Bangor the last twice and should be thereabouts at the line once more, despite a 3lb rise in the ratings for finishing 12 lengths clear of the third when runner-up latest. Le Boizelo ran well from the front over 2m3f here last time and has place claims if his stamina holds out, while Run To Milan could sneak a place if building on his track-and-trip fourth off this mark in November.

WHITE MOON has been set two tough enough assignments over fences this season and can gain a confidence-boosting success now with much less on his plate. A point scorer and two-time hurdles winner, Colin Tizzard's inmate may well have won on his chase/seasonal debut in a warm novice event at Cheltenham but for coming to grief at the last, and he finished behind the likes of Defi Du Seuil (2017 Triumph Hurdle winner), Topofthegame (second in a Grade 1 on his next start) and Black Op (Ballymore Novices' Hurdle runner-up and Grade 1 winner at Aintree) here last time. He should have too much class for The Last Day and Notre Ami.

David Lewis Bideford Pipeline Handicap Chase

Cap Du Nord is on a workable mark and should go very close if recapturing his Kempton form in October, but the vote is for CALL ME SID. He has to concede weight all round in this handicap but first-time cheekpieces brought about improvement from the seven-year-old at Taunton latest and he can be ridden aggressively over this trip. Sizing Brisbane rates best of the rest.

KALOOKI stepped up on what was a moderate Chepstow debut when finishing third behind a smart horse of Tom Lacey's at Ascot last time. Evidently improving between runs, Philip Hobbs' charge has been found a good opening and can make it third-time lucky at the main expense of Mister Timmytucks, who debuts for the bang in-form Paul Nicholls yard, and Rufio, who performed with credit on his introduction at Ffos Las.
