This could well be dominated by two penalised runners in Court King and DESERT SENSATION, who both arrive here well in despite their 7lb penalties. The latter bolted up by 10 lengths at Fontwell last week and looked to have plenty in hand on that occasion. He faces an 11lb rise in the ratings in future engagements for that win. Court King's improvement appears to have been sparked by the application of a hood and he looks to have an outstanding chance once again today. Others to note are Somerset Lias and I'm In Charge.

Coeur Tantre was a narrow winner at Newton Abbot in August and more can be expected from this comparatively lightly-raced five-year-old. That said, a 7lb rise in the ratings looks harsh enough based on the form of that contest. On the face of things the same could be said of WOLFTRAP, who has been hiked up 10lb for a neck win at Worcester in May. However, since then the second has won twice since and is now rated 13lb higher, while the third, fourth and eighth have also been successful over hurdles in the subsequent months. Regal Flow looks to exploit a 10lb lower mark over hurdles compared to his chase rating on his seasonal return.

There were some valid excuses for PAWN STAR's defeat at Newton Abbot last month, as he jumped right throughout and did not appear to see out the 3m2f trip. The return to a right-handed track and 3m should suit this progressive six-year-old. The Wealerdealer is a multiple point-to-point winner and has shown enough in a couple of starts over hurdles of late to suggest that he can go well of this mark over the larger obstacles. The shortlist is completed by Houston Dynimo following his second last time out.

A beginners chase that has a fairly decent roll of honour over the years with the likes of Exmoor Ranger and Bennys Mist both taking this prize before going on to become solid handicap chasers. This doesn't look the strongest renewal but MINELLACELEBRATION shaped with a fair amount of promise over timber last season, winning three of his nine starts, and was largely consistent. The son of King's Theatre proved himself to be fairly versatile and looks the most solid option making his chasing debut. Rock Of Leon looks the only real threat on paper if his jumping holds together having failed to complete in his last three starts over the larger obstacles, while Spillers Dream looks best of the remainder.

BARWICK sets the clear form standard on his most recent two performances at Worcester and was only just beaten by Washed Ashore who holds an entry in the Persian War at Chepstow on Sunday. His main rival is Lostock Hall who needs to bounce back from a below par effort last time at Worcester behind Peter The Mayo Man. The rest look to be fighting out a minor battle for third with preference going to Imperial Glance who could improve for the switch to Harry Fry.

BILLY MY BOY was a good second on his most recent start at Worcester and may find further improvement from the first time blinkers applied. Chris Down's charge is mostly consistent and can gain his first success since May 2015. Zarliman can make his presence felt on his recent second at Plumpton behind Osgood, while Karl Marx and Taste The Wine both have claims on their recent form.
