TIMELY GIFT looked to appreciate a switch to testing ground last month and this extra couple of furlongs at this stiffer track should suit the son of Presenting. The four-year-old has plenty of scope for improvement, and has strong claims here if sharpening up his jumping. Lady Longshot was outpaced at Wincanton last time and is another who should enjoy this test of stamina, while Seaboard is an interesting Irish raider with first-time headgear and Bryony Frost booked to do the steering.

ATAGUISEAMIX was runner-up in an Irish point-to-point and has to be of interest on his hurdling debut having joined the Paul Nicholls team. He wears a hood for the first time today and could have too much for The Russian Doyen, who has shown some signs of ability in two strong bumpers in recent months, and Warthog, who has long been held in high regard by the David Pipe team and is bred to appreciate tackling obstacles.

CESAR COLLONGES showed a nice attitude when getting off the mark under Rules at Carlisle last month and could have more to offer for Evan Williams. This five-year-old should appreciate the step up in distance and can go in again now that the penny has dropped. Flemcara was suited by soft ground at Worcester on handicap debut last time and remains unexposed despite an 8lb rise, while Indy Five had some nice form in the book earlier last year and needs a market check following a 569 day absence.

Course and distance winner FLAMING CHARMER looked to win with plenty in hand on heavy ground at Chepstow last time out and has been found a nice opening by Colin Tizzard to land the odds once more. An 8lb rise doesn't look too harsh and the nine-year-old can account for Calipto, who represents a trainer that often comes into form at this time of year, and Chosen Well, who needs a market check on his return to action following a 743 day absence.

MODUS has made a seamless transition to chasing having gone unbeaten in two starts to date, which includes a Grade 2 success in the Rising Stars at Wincanton last time, and he should be able to give his main rival West Approach 3lb and a beating over a trip more in his favour. The latter mentioned hasn't looked the most natural over fences and jumped sketchily when third behind Black Corton at Cheltenham last time. Report To Base can take third at the expense of Le Boizelo.

YANMARE looked the likely winner of a handicap chase here last month before falling at the second last in a race won by Sonoftheking over 3m. Nigel Twiston-Davies's gelding has a tendency to run in snatches throughout his races but has always looked a resolute stayer so the step up in trip is certainly in his favour. Zerachiel was runner-up to Water Wagtail on his return at Warwick and is entitled to improve from that, while others to consider include recent course winner You Say What and Another Venture.

CARIBERT created a very favourable impression when making all of the running and storming to success at Wincanton on his racecourse debut for Harry Fry. The son of Ballingarry looks the type to improve with time and he looks more than capable of defying a penalty. Time To Move On is a half-brother to Barney Dwan and has an eyecatching jockey booking in Barry Geraghty, while others to consider include Densfirth, from the family of Denman, and Stoney Mountain.
