PICKAMIX is lightly raced over fences and arrives off the back of a good effort at Cheltenham when third to What A Moment in a similar contest. He has the advantage of leading amateur Sam Waley-Cohen and the stiff finish here will play to his strengths. Theatrical Star should appreciate the step back up to 3m having ran on well over 2m5f at Taunton last time, while Chef D'Equipe was a winner at Auteuil over the larger obstacles so merits respect on his UK chasing debut.

An interesting contest which sees recent Fontwell winners JUKEBOX JIVE and Sussex Ranger attempt to give 5lb to their rivals. Preference of the pair goes to the former as he looks the type to continue with his progression over timber, being out of Grade 2 winning hurdler Sweetheart. Night Of Glory was a solid performer on the Flat, rated 96, and is of interest making his hurdling debut along with Tommy Hallinan and Esprit De Somoza.

TOUCH KICK shaped on his chasing debut as though he will have benefited for the outing when seventh to Jameson over C&D and was dropped 2lb by the handicapper which makes him look fairly handicapped. Darebin is respected for Gary Moore with the step up in trip likely to suit on breeding, while Lithic and Wilberdragon both warrant respect on their recent showings at Market Rasen with the pair both finishing third.

This hot contest sees unbeaten hurdlers WHITE MOON and On The Blind Side put their reputations on the line in what should be an exciting tussle up the stamina sapping Esher straight. The latter looks to have the required stamina in abundance and showed his class when winning at Cheltenham last time. It would be no surprise should he tackle three miles sooner rather than later so this trip looks more suited to Colin Tizzard's imposing grey, who has done little wrong so far when impressing at Exeter and Wincanton, and could have the gears to go away from his rivals at the finish here. Dynamite Dollars saw his winning run come to an end in bottomless ground at Haydock last time but could easily bounce back on this sounder surface, while Mulcahys Hill arrives here on a hat-trick, but this is a step up in terms of quality of race, and he may struggle against some potentially top class rivals this time.

15:05 Sandown (Class 3) (4YO plus)

Tokio Marine Kiln Handicap Chase

Some familiar names look set to take centre stage here with the blinkered first-time WORKBENCH set to fight out the finish with the top-weight Beggar's Wishes, who has a tougher task on his hands having been raised 8lb for his Sedgefield win over Robbing The Pray, a result which has been franked by the second recently. However, the streetwise selection is backed to take advantage of this dangerous looking mark, some 9lb lower than when last winning over fences, and this appears an easier contest than he encountered most recently. Red Devil Star could be on the up and is considered, while course and distance winner Gregarious has questions to answer now, but could offer some each-way value if at his best.

15:35 Sandown (Class 4) (3YO plus)

ITS A STING has come to grief on the last two occasions, but was going well both times, and is sure to go well now returned to hurdles if producing a confidence boosting clear round. Phoenix Dawn was an impressive 18-length winner last time at Ludlow and must be considered if handling a 10lb rise from the assessor while Le Capricieux is another capable of getting involved representing Gary Moore, who often has success here. Cap Du Nord is also considered and is not without talent if producing it on the track, and he could be an interesting one for each-way punters at the foot of the handicap.
