Honan ran a sound race behind a couple of useful yardsticks at Sandown and is easily the pick of the Pipe trio. Devito goes particularly well for today's pilot and can gain revenge for a Chepstow defeat at the hands of Caspian Dusk but a chance is taken on JONES'S ROAD who is on a favourable mark compared to his chase rating and, providing he adapts to hurdling, can take full advantage.

Difficult to see beyond LAMP'S RETURN who found only a smart recruit of Paul Nicholls' too good at Wincanton. She had earlier won impressively at the same track and, despite her penalty, is well-placed back against her own sex. Penneyrose Bay is another who will appreciate the return to mares company, while better can be expected of Nice Baby.

Last year's winner Twisted Logic is off a similar mark here but, like Bright Approach, his best days may be behind him. Kelantan didn't have much to spare over Canon Barney at Huntingdon and a 3lb weight turnaround could reverse the placings. Fontwell winner Multi Talented and Toulouse-Lautrec have jumping problems to iron out so preference is for the enigmatic HEADLINER who was absolutely cantering when hitting the deck at Leicester last week and can gain ample compensation today.

Excuses were made for Silver Inngot's Plumpton failure but he isn't one to rely upon after such a disappointment and may be worth taking on with TOOMEBRIDGE. Jeff King's 7yo was a long way behind a couple of fair types at Leicester but faces an easier assignment today and can finally break through. Blinkers sparked some improvement from Barton Hill at Wincanton and he's another who can't be ruled out.

Lord Killeshanra recaptured his best to push the useful Senor Sedona close at Wincanton and a similar effort would put him the firing line. Try Catch Paddy is proving costly but there are races to be won with Laska De Thaix who handled the step-up to 3m well at Taunton. DEFINITE APPROACH was no match for the much-improved Celtic Son at Kempton but made a pleasing hurdling debut nonetheless and is taken to go one better today.

Better known as a chaser, DAY DU ROY ran a fine race over the smaller obstacles at Haydock and wouldn't need much improvement to capitalise on a favourable mark. Field Roller didn't beat much at Exeter and the handicapper has taken no chances with him, while the assessor also looks to have Red Society at his mercy. Once Seen hasn't won since his debut but is rarely far away and could give the selection most to think about.
