PRINCELY PLAYER sets the form standard based on his last-time-out second on slow ground at Chepstow. Philip Hobbs' charge hinted a return to further would ideally suit and he can defy a penalty, incurred for his previous victory at Taunton, to land the spoils. Curtain Razer drops back in trip after falling over 3m at Bangor last month but is undoubtedly capable of better, while Grand Annual fifth King Edmund cannot be left out of calculations either.
Princely Player is open to further improvement and gets the nod with the longer trip a plus. Curtain Razer will be a danger if proving effective over this shorter trip, as will useful-chaser King Edmund if he can translate his ability now back over hurdles.

BOLD HENRY looked set to collect at Kempton last time until departing at the last flight. Philip Hobbs' representative was 12 lengths up and fully in command, so providing he jumps a cleaner round this time, compensation should be in the offing. Kian's Delight looks the main danger if capable of reproducing the form of his February second at Doncaster and is open to further improvement under Peter Bowen, while money for David Pipe's debutant The Grey Fox would also be noteworthy.
Bold Henry was set to score comfortably when falling at the last at Kempton last month and a repeat of the form he was set to show there would make him hard to beat. Kian's Delight and The Grey Fox appeal most of the remainder.

SEA SAFFRON is clearly at one with himself and has won on three of his last four visits to this track, over hurdles and fences. Susan Gardner's representative is rated 5lb lower over timber and looks a danger to all off his feather weight. Water Garden is holding his form well judging by a recent Cheltenham second and is feared most, with Pause And Clause, another who landed a silver medal on his last start at Prestbury Park, unlikely to be far away either.
Buck Magic remains open to improvement after just 4 runs under Rules and he can resume winning ways in a competitive event. Water Garden and in-form course specialist Sea Saffron look best of the rest.

CHASE GATE was in the process of running a fine race until falling three out at Stratford when last sighted in August, and if his confidence has not been knocked by that tumble, a big run looks likely off an unchanged rating. Kirbys Glen's recent Taunton victory off 4lb lower came on fast ground but he's shown in the past that he is also effective on soft and he looks the main danger. Anay Turge is unexposed over fences and still improving so is another to note.
Anay Turge and Kirbys Glen both come here in top form and are possibly the pair to concentrate on, the former just preferred.

BOOKS REVIEW performed to a moderate level over hurdles in 2010 but a subsequent spell between the flags has sparked improvement and he posted a career-best performance when second in a hunters' chase over 3m2f at Cheltenham last month. That effort confirmed his liking for slow ground and a bold bid looks assured if reproducing the form. Lucette Annie and Kirkleigh are both debuting under Rules but warrant respect due to their strike-rate in the point-to-point scene.
Books Review was just denied in a similar event at Cheltenham last week, and is sure to go very close with the slight drop in trip sure to suit. Lucette Annie and Kirkleigh will keep the selection up to his work.

ATLANTIC ROLLER turned in a most pleasing effort on debut at Ascot in February, keeping on well when headed by the smart winner (Royal Guardsman) and hinting he'd improve for the experience. The selection is out of a Supreme Novices' Hurdle winner and can progress to land the honours. Seebright is penalised for an impressive 2m Towcester win last time but remains an obvious danger, with David Pipe's Standing Ovation, who debuts under Rules, one to keep tabs on in the betting.
Atlantic Roller made a promising start when finding only one too good on debut at Ascot in February, and he can see off the penalised Seebright. Standing Ovation and Long John are 2 of the more interesting alternatives.
