REGAIN DU CHARBONNEAU is proving costly to follow but he might be worth another chance this afternoon with a tongue-tie applied for the first time. David Pipe's representative was bitterly disappointing over this C&D last week, weakening rapidly, but the indication is that the tongue-tie could help and, if it does, then he can capitalise on a decent handicap mark. Nomad was a surprise winner of that contest last week and is unpenalised for that success so he is respected along with Shinnecock Bay.
Nomad has to come into things off the same mark as when winning over C&D last week, but he's never really been one to rely upon and it may be worth chancing The Fox's Decree, who will be much more at home back at this trip and has a tongue tie on for the first time. Boomtown is another to consider.

CAPPAGH snatched defeat from the jaws of victory over 2m3f here last week but he can gain compensation today. He had the race in the bag before he swerved right under pressure well inside the last furlong, unshipping his pilot in the process, but that effort proved that he is on a decent mark and, providing this longer trip is no problem, he could take all the beating. Emma Lavelle's Ease And Grace put up an improved display on her handicap debut at Fontwell last month and she is shortlisted along with Nearly A Breeze, who has claims if bouncing back to his best.
Cappagh's improved showing here last week clearly wasn't unexpected judged by the market, and he should get the job done this time with McCoy taking over in the saddle. Captain Becket and Flag Flier are taken to fill the places.

Pauillac looks extremely well handicapped on his best form but he has something to prove following some uninspiring efforts. River Indus ran well below par at Cheltenham last month but he had been running consistently well prior to that and he is worthy of consideration here. BALLYCARNEY shaped as though the step up to this trip was required when a close third over 2m5f at Kempton on his latest outing and he might be able to get his head in front for the first time today.
Ballycarney continued his upward curve over fences when coming off worst in a 3-way finish at Kempton last month and can gain compensation against mainly disappointing opposition, the pick of which could prove to be Dusty Dane and Terrible Tenant.

Tout Regulier showed glimmers of ability in Ireland and it would not be the biggest surprise to see her go close on her debut for Peter Bowen. Farncombe, a winner over 1m 2f on the flat, should not be overlooked on her hurdling debut.

Folie A Deux finished runner-up to Coach Lane over 2m at Uttoxeter earlier this month and a reproduction of that effort would give him solid claims here, but a narrow verdict is awarded to Tim Vaughan's ONE OF THE BOYS. He was progressive last year and, with Tony McCoy booked, he can make a winning return to action today. Foreign King was far from disgraced at Towcester over 2m last time and he should not be left out of calculations today.
Folie A Deux was unfortunate to run into a back-to-form rival at Uttoxeter last time and may be able to resume winning ways here, though Foreign King will be a threat if taking to the larger obstacles at the first time of asking. One of The Boys looks best of the rest with Tony McCoy booked.
