Aero Majestic has vital hurdling experience but his form is a long way off good enough to beat some of these rivals. IF THE CAP FITS was an impressive winner of his first two bumpers last season and he was far from disgraced when finishing fourth in the Grade 2 at Aintree in April. Blu Cavalier has not been seen since March 2016 and he has subsequently switched to Paul Nicholls' yard, while Station Master made a big impression when winning at Aintree in May.
IF THE CAP FITS and Enniscoffey Oscar ran well in a Grade 2 bumper at Aintree, usually one of the strongest of the season, when last seen, and look exciting recruits to hurdling, Harry Fry's charge is narrowly preferred here. Blu Cavalier has a long absence to overcome but should be ready to go on his return starting out for Paul Nicholls. Station Master is another runner to keep an eye on.

It was not the strongest of bumpers that CHALLICO won here in May 2016 but that did prove that he can win fresh and the five-year-old has subsequently joined Paul Nicholls' yard. Good Man Pat was an impressive winner of an Irish point-to-point back in May and connections had to part with 70,000 pounds to secure the son of Gold Well at the sales later that month. D'arcy's Sound is another one who has been successful between the flags, while any market support for Master Work would have to be noted.
GOOD MAN PAT ticks plenty of boxes ahead of his hurdles debut for Alan King, not least as he won a point by 12 lengths when last seen, and he can make a successful start in this sphere. Plenty of these have claims but none more so than SAMSON, who arrives here on the back of a clear-cut victory at Uttoxeter last month. A 5lb rise for that success appears to be fairly lenient and the six-year-old should take plenty of beating. Pengo's Boy is another who won well last time out but an 11lb hike makes life tougher for him now. The likes of Hidden Cargo, Hill Fort and Jarlath should run their usual solid races.
It took a while, but PENGO'S BOY got off the mark over hurdles at Newton Abbot last month, and while this is clearly a much deeper race, he was very impressive that day and remains with plenty of scope in this sphere given his earlier bumper form. Steely Addition and Hidden Cargo are unexposed handicap debutants for top yards and are just 2 possible threats.

BARTON ROSE returned to winning ways when appreciating a patient ride at Uttoxeter on her last start when beating Honkytonktennessee by nine lengths. The daughter of Midnight Legend went up 7lb for that success but this isn't the strongest of contests so she can prove capable of defying that rise. Moorlands Jack was an easy winner at Newton Abbot but he wouldn't be the most reliable so the main dangers look to be Triple Chief, making his first start for Jimmy Frost, and Seven Kingdoms.
MR MEDIC should strip fitter for his recent run and is well handicapped on the pick of last season's form. Last-time-out winners Moorlands Jack and Barton Rose are feared most, for all they're far from certain to be in the same form this time around.

SANDY COVE was last seen when refusing to race on the Flat at Yarmouth for James Eustace but a switch to the Olly Murphy yard could elicit some improvement and get his head in front for the first time over timber. He also has the advantage of Fergus Gregory's 8lb claim. The main threats on recent form look to be Ladies Dancing and Magical Thomas, who were both third on their last starts.
Despite going winless in this sphere last term, GRAMS AND OUNCES shaped well from higher marks on occasions and, having scored 3 times on the level in recent months, he could well be worth chancing.
