You don't see many horses sired by Agnes World running over timber. Sweet Seville has taken the plunge, but was moderate on the Flat and did not show much on last month's hurdles debut at Hereford. LINDY LOU won over 1m3f on the level, a line of form which suggests she can take the measure of Je Ne Sais Plus, whose chief failing seems to be lack of a turn of foot. They are quite closely matched on hurdles form, but A P McCoy's mount probably just edges it in that sphere based on her seconds to Call Me A Legend and Silk Affair. Sparkling Montjeu knows how to win, but is asked a stiff question conceding 10lb.

Passato, moderate on the Flat and seemingly no great shakes over hurdles, sprang into life when winning a conditional riders' novice handicap hurdle over course and distance eight days ago. There is not much worthwhile opposition in a very weak handicap, but LADY FRIEND definitely enters the equation on her 2007 Flat form when she won a 1m2f handicap at Windsor. Her hurdles form sends out mixed messages and she was brought down at an early stage at Wincanton last time, but she has shown enough to suggest she is the pick off these weights. Players Please hasn't made much of an impact over hurdles, but he was a decent Flat racer and Nick Schofield's claim helps offset his big weight.

BERNARD won with a fair degree of comfort in a course and distance handicap (novices) here eight days ago and can defy the 7lb penalty. This will be his eighth successive run at this track - a sequence which includes a win and two seconds in handicap hurdles. Dennis The Legend, on the other hand, has been concentrating on Wincanton where he has notched a win and two places in handicap chases on his last three starts. He should be in the shake-up again. Brave Jo and Tora Bora are course winners with the former looking better handicapped, while Dusty Dane is knocking on the door and will get every assistance from 5lb claimer Danny Cook.

PADDYS HONOUR has yet to win in seven attempts, but he was second in a 13-runner Aintree bumper last year and was third in a novices' handicap hurdle over course and distance in March, albeit a long way behind the winner. His latest run - fourth of six in Industrial Star's race at Market Rasen - was blighted by some sloppy jumping and no doubt he has been well schooled since. Dropped 2lb, he merits another chance. Floradorado enters the argument on her second to Quaddick Lake over an extended 3m at Taunton in March, while Miss Marenda has dropped a long way in the handicap since her previous win and everything depends on whether the first-time blinkers have a positive effect.

MANMOON, a lightly-raced six-year-old, was the 50-1 winner of a novice hurdle here in January after showing little in his first four runs. He beat a 2-7 shot from the Paul Nicholls yard on that occasion, but it had the look of a flash in the pan when he was pulled up on his next two starts in handicaps. However, he has fared much better since being sent chasing and although he fell on his second tilt over fences, has run well the other two times, finishing ahead of four rivals all rated in the 130s. His chief opponent here is the 115-rated Winsley Hill who has had only one airing over fences but showed fair form in handicap hurdles and gets 7lb from the selection by way of the mare's allowance. The others have plenty to find.

A tricky end to proceedings with little worthwhile form on view. Perhaps the betting will provide the key clues and it's certainly not beyond the realms of possibility that Bob Buckler's newcomer, Blazing Empress, will play a leading role with Harry Skelton booked. Alanna Castle was beaten 12 lengths when a fading fourth to Benleigh in a Ludlow bumper on his debut. He represents Evan Williams and Tony McCoy, but both DISCO JACK and Miss Molly Moses have shown glimmers of form. The former has finished in the mid-division at Warwick and Stratford and looks the type to improve, while the latter's Cheltenham fifth to Line Freedom was encouraging.
