BRANTINGHAM BREEZE clearly isn't the easiest to win with after failing to complete the last twice, but she represents a yard in flying form at present and can break her duck here. The penalised Bredon Hill Lad obviously warrants the utmost respect after his five-length Fontwell romp and Unefille De Guye looks ominously poised at the foot of the weights after an encouraging effort in runner-up spot at Taunton. Legion D'honneur trailed a future winner when second at this venue and deserves a market check.

OBISTAR bumped into a progressive rival when thrashed at Carlisle, but has shown a liking for cut underfoot and remains potentially unexposed on his second handicap start. Flash Crash is beginning to amass an unfortunate sequence of placed efforts but has yet to tackle these ground conditions and deserves closer market inspection. The remainder are headed by Absolutely Bygones, who was a close third over track and trip and has a squeak from just 1lb higher here.

JUPITER REX (nap) will likely be a lot straighter for his reappearance over hurdles after 592 days off the track and can resume his progression here. The returning Big Society looks a major danger to the selection if he is fully wound up for his reappearance as he held his own in competitive company earlier in the year. The upped-in-trip duo of Roll The Dice and Midnight Lira deserve closer market inspection, likewise for Barton Gift who scored before unshipping his rival at the first hurdle last time.

An initial outing over fences is expected to have done HIGHLAND RETREAT the world of good and the 144-rated hurdler is backed to return to winning ways. Return Spring achieved a similar level of form over the smaller obstacles and is also entitled to improve for his chasing bow, so he shouldn't be dismissed out of hand. Kaki De La Pree was progressive earlier in the year and completes the shortlist.

A chance is taken on UPEPITO (nb) who had plenty of decent form on a testing surface in France and his yard is starting to fire in the winners. Whispering Harry isn't taken on lightly, though he will have to improve having been raised 7lb for his game Chepstow success. Headly's Bridge was progressing nicely over fences when last seen but there is a suspicion he will improve for this outing. Lord Protector has a point to prove after a very disappointing chasing bow behind Whispering Harry, while Tornado In Milan should improve on his Sandown showing but isn't one for maximum faith.

Useful Flat performer Dandy made an encouraging start to his hurdling career when third at Taunton last month. His best form has come on a quick surface, though, and the forecast heavy ground tempers enthusiasm. Preference is for PULL THE CHORD who was well backed when running on into third on his Rules debut at Stratford. On a stiffer track and with the ground likely to make this a real stamina test, he can open his account. An Tarbh Og and Mount Prospex can battle it out for the minor honours.

JIGSAW FINANCIAL was beaten a neck into second by Thundering Home over this trip at Taunton when they last met but, with a nice pull in the weights with that rival, he can reverse the form. Thundering Home should still make a bold bid and is the best of the remainder. Bedouin Bay's mark remains on the stiff side for win purposes but he ought to get competitive for the places. It will be interesting to see how Piano Concerto goes on his return from a 479 absence and he completes the shortlist.
