GIRLY GIRL has posted a number of solid efforts both over hurdles and in bumpers and she will prove difficult to beat if running up to her mark of 120. Pennywell left her Lingfield performance well behind when runner-up at Market Rasen and she might be able to ask the former a question or two if progressing again, while hurdling debutants Lapalala and Purple Genie look set to scrap it out for third position.

Pemba has won two of her three starts since joining Alan King and doesn't look badly treated off 120, but MIDNIGHT JAZZ has performed consistently well at a much higher level and her class could shine through. She possibly didn't quite see out the extended 2m4f trip at Cheltenham last time and this drop back in distance should see her at her best. Hannah's Princess was a little disappointing on her Doncaster reappearance but she is entitled to improve.

Firsty posted a couple of solid efforts in France before joining Paul Nicholls and he warrants plenty of respect on his UK debut, but CAPTAIN CHAOS looks the safer option on this occasion. His Grade 2 second at Newbury two starts ago is by far and away the best form on offer and he is clearly a lot better than showing at Cheltenham last time. On this less undulating track, he can easily be given another chance. Bindon Mill might prove best of the rest in what effectively looks a two-horse race.

WIZARDS BRIDGE shades the verdict in what looks a fiercely competitive staying handicap. He responded positively to first-time blinkers (worn again) when third behind the progressive Silvergrove at Kempton last time and it's worth noting that he boasts winning form both at this track and under today's jockey. From the opposite end of the weights, Armedanddangerous has to be respected in his bid to complete the hat-trick while Alberobello, Thomas Wild and Saroque are others to keep an eye on.

Three Faces West has been a well supported, but beaten, favourite on both of his starts for Phillip Hobbs. That said, there has been plenty of encouragement on both occasions and he will have races in him form this mark. MILANSBAR chased home the potentially top-class Out Sam in a novice event at Newbury last time and although he still remains a maiden over fences, he has run well on a couple of occasions and his mark over fences is 7lb lower than his hurdles rating. Imagine The Chat was disappointing in a decent race at Cheltenham last time but has the ability to go well, while the other two have to bounce back from two disappointing recent efforts.

ALBERT D'OLIVATE has improved with every run this season and his latest second at Kempton earlier this month was a significant career best. Another 3lb rise in the ratings make life tougher but he could have more to offer. Baraka De Thaix has not hit the heights he promised early on in his juvenile career but he has dropped to a mark from which he should be able to win. Deputy Commander looks the pick of the remainder, closely followed by Captain McGinley.

A very tricky race to close the card and marginal preference goes to TRIPLE CHIEF, who escapes a penalty for his win in a conditional jockeys' event at Plumpton last week. That was not the strongest event but neither is this and now he knows how to win he could prove hard to beat. Mount Prospex has run poorly twice over fences but in between those runs he was a decent enough third over hurdles here last month. Distant Sound and Wayward Frolic make some each-way appeal.
