The first Juvenile race of the year in the Eastern Cape. trainer Alan Greeff normally has his ready to win so SINGITA SUNSET might be the right one in the race but he can expect challenges from BOLTIMUS, BRIGHT FLAME and SACREDORATION among others. The betting however could be the biggest guide in a race such as this.

Some modest runners will go to the post for this race. Of those that have run before NOORDHOEK'S SPEED could be the best of them. This filly is holdingher form well and she has improved since blinkers were added. HONEYBUSH TEA proved difficult to win with but has run many fair races so is likely to improve on her latest start when needing the run. Watch out for IMAGINE DRAGONS

CUTEY ME has been a bit unlucky in that she has not won yet in her four starts to date. Blinkers have now been added and that might do the trick with her. EMERALD ISLAND has improved recently and was not disgraced in his last two starts. He is sure to prove competitive once again. BRITISH FAIRY improved on his local debut when third last time out and should be in the battle.

An open looking Maiden Plate. Stable companions WARREN PLACE and SHADY WORLD are both holding their form pretty well and should be in the final shake-up. Trainer Justin Snaith is deadly with his raiders and SILVER EXPRESS is likely to make good improvement on his local debut especially with jockey Andrew Fortune making a return to the saddle. EASTERN PEARL has a chance in this.

A very open looking race. The Alan Greef yard holds a decent hand with his two runners PLACIDO and OFF THE BIT. It is a bit surprising that stable jockey Greg Cheyne is aboard PLACIDO but he may well be right but my choice is the younger OFF THE BIT. This three-year-old has scope for improvement this cours and distance. DUTCH HARBOUR and ZAMA are two others to consider.

VILLA DEL LARGO has been very impressive recently winning his last four starts and he should prove hard to beat once again. He is better over 1200m but this shorter distance should not be a problem. THAYER will definitely prefer this distance and is sure to be competitive. NORMANZ must be tired of seeing the rear end of VILLA DEL LARGO by now having been beaten 3 times by him.

Once again it is the Justin Snaith trained runner that catches the eye. VICTORIA COLLEGE was not disgraced when fourth behind a decent filly in the Western Cape last time out and should make a bold bid at winning this race. CANDY CRUSH has not been disgraced in her last three starts and must be given respect. SPRING DANCE makes her local debut and has shown some fair form.

A tough race to end the card. TRACY'S LEGACY was not disgraced on her local debut when just needing the run and finishing fourth. She is likely to be fitter this time. A WOMAN'S WILL did well enough on her local debut to hold a winning chance. AQUINATA has promising form and is another that can win. There are others like SEATTLE BURNING and LADY MARSHALL who are not out of it.
