INDIGO PRINCESS has been raised 3lb for finishing a head second over 1m at Chelmsford City last time out but remains open to further improvement and could benefit from this drop back in distance. C&D winner For Shia And Lula rarely runs a bad race and should be thereabouts on the back of his distance victory off 3lb lower at Chelmsford latest, while Cliff has been knocking on the door on Tapeta at Newcastle and could also figure.

COSMIC BOY shaped with plenty of promise when finishing a nose second over 1m on debut at Lingfield and may be able to step up on that effort now he has the benefit of that initial spin under his belt. Vanderbilt is fitted with first-time blinkers and has place claims on the pick of his form, likewise Espresso Freddo, who landed minor money at Newcastle when last sighted. However, Mustarrid, third on debut at Kempton, is less exposed than both and considered the main danger.

Jumbo Prado landed back-to-back C&D victories in the spring and is worth a market check on his return from a 163-day absence. Fellow break returner Glorious Asset, a former Ed Walker inmate that is having only his second run for his new stable, is also worth monitoring in the betting given his unexposed profile. However, with the potential benefit of a recent run to his name and fairly weighted on these terms, MASQUERADED is the tentative vote.

THE TICHBORNE landed a 7f claimer here in June and could figure on these terms if his stamina holds out. He's won three times over 1m on Polytrack, offering hope he might just get home over this extended trip. Ubla has run his best races on artificial surfaces and could sneak some minor money, while Beautiful Stranger commands respect on these terms and could also feasibly take a hand.

BALLESTEROS signed off the turf season by landing back-to-back victories at Catterick and Nottingham and it is no wonder Richard Fahey bids to keep the momentum going on the all-weather as he remains nicely treated on his best form. The latter comment is also applicable to Huntsmans Close, who took a step in the right direction for his new stable when finishing ahead of Guishan (sixth) in second over 5f at Chelmsford last time.

DUSTY RAVEN (engaged to run at Chelmsford yesterday) was touched off by half a length over 1m4f at Lingfield last time out and is expected to give a good account while returning on the same mark. Macksville has shown bits and pieces of form in maidens and is worth a market check now stepped up in trip on his handicap bow, while Roger Varian's Paper Faces is capable of getting competitive off a moderate rating and Limonata should be thereabouts if building on a solid handicap debut fourth at Sandown.

Rubis gained reward for a string of solid efforts in defeat when scoring over 1m2f at Lingfield last time but the winning margin was only a nose and she probably doesn't have room for error from a 2lb higher mark. It might be worth siding with GENERAL HAZARD, who offered little in maidens but took a forward step when fifth in a classified stakes contest at Yarmouth. If running to a similar level here, he could go well on his handicap bow. Recent C&D second Thatsthewaytodoit could also take a hand.

Trishuli Rock has been performing with credit in similar races and should be thereabouts if building on his course third over the extended mile last time. However, CONDAMINE is less exposed than the first-named and could be the one to be on if building on a solid debut third over track and trip now he has that outing under his belt. Maifalki has a solid bumper fifth to his name and has place claims if stepping up on the level of form he demonstrated on his Flat bow at Newcastle.
