LECEILE pulled up on her hurdling debut back in May but consigned that effort firmly to the past with a highly creditable second to classy Flat recruit Steps To Freedom over this C&D last month. Noel Meade's mare should continue to progress with experience and might take some beating today. Jeunopse found only one too good in a Listowel handicap over 2m4f last time and must be respected back in maiden company, while Coral Creek and Great Oak are others to take seriously.

Dual bumper winner REIZOVIC looks a decent prospect over obstacles this term and could be up to making a winning introduction to hurdling this afternoon. Dylan Ross also landed a couple of bumpers and although he fell at the last on his hurdling debut last December, he was in front at the time and seemingly going to win. The other one of considerable interest is Captain Arceus, who, like the selection, takes to timber for the first time in public. Dessie Hughes' gelding is sure to be well schooled and the betting market may provide some clues.

Top weight Lucky Spring won't need to improve much on his latest course fourth to regain the winning thread but he does look a shade vulnerable to a couple of lightly-weighted rivals, the obvious one being LEAH CLAIRE. She has gone up 3lb following her latest second at Listowel but remains comparatively well treated in relation to her Flat mark and all ground comes alike. King's Parade and Mosman Park are both worth a look, while the somewhat quirky Louisiana Girl could go close if on song.

TEXAS JACK made a big impression when quickening up well to beat 24 rivals on his debut in a Punchestown bumper back in May and Noel Meade looks to have a smart sort to go to war with in the novice hurdle division this term. Providing he takes to the obstacles at the first time of asking, the likes of Dingaling and Russian Regent may be left scrapping for minor honours once more. Taraval has shown enough to suggest she can make an impact at this sort of level.

KILLCARA BOY has been raised 6lb for his last time out success at Listowel but is unexposed over this longer trip and could continue to evade the assessor. The main danger appears to be St Killian's Run, who advertised his well being with a recent chase second at Perth and is allowed to race off a 23lb lower hurdles mark today. Some Gem's form has dipped since scoring over this trip at Tipperary in June but she's only 3lb above her winning mark that day and is handicapped to go well if putting her best foot forward.

LITTLETOWN LASS benefitted from a more forceful ride at Listowel last time, running creditably from the front throughout until making a slight mistake at the last and having to be content with second. However, if putting in a clearer round, now stepped up to this longer trip, compensation could be in the offing on her handicap bow. Realta Rathcabhain was promoted to second after a stewards enquiry at Gowran latest and is feared most. Lapse Of Reason has gone up 8lb for a comfortable C&D success last month and is another to consider.

REALT DEN CHATHAIR helps set the form standard based on his last time out third at Tramore, when travelling well just off the pace and appearing to come with a decent challenge in the finish. Although he was made to look one-paced under pressure, he undoubtedly possesses ability and looks to have been found an ideal opening here. Black Zorro has claims if reproducing his debut form when second in a Listed bumper at Limerick but hasn't built upon those efforts subsequently. King Malik and Mickelson are others to consider in an open looking event.
