ADITI (9) runs for Waterhouse and Bott who are always hard to beat when they target these early two-year-old races (or any race for that matter) and off a strong jump out around the corner here she shapes as a key winning chance. Siding with her over the expensive CHARM STONE (10) who cost well over a million dollars going through the ring and has jumped out as though some chance of repaying that figure. BELUGA EXPRESS (2) has jumped out well for a stable in form and lands a jockey in form for the debut. Looks a chance, as does KRAKARIB (3) who has a top jock booked off solid jump outs. Not taken lightly.

VISINARI (7) resumes having started to put it all together last prep. Won three from five and was beaten less than a length by good winners in the other two. That form has already held up well in the early spring and he comes here shaping as the horse to beat. THE GARDEN (9) has the fitness edge of the main chances. Needed the run first up before improving nicely to win at Sandown. Lesser rivals there but he won it as easily as you like. CHARACTER (2) is another that hits this third up and ready to peak. No match in the Tramway but good at Newcastle and that should measure up. I AM BENE (10) and POLAND (5) come off well beaten runs but both are capable of better. Kinder option for Poland who has been tried in some tough spots in recent runs.

SUMATRA (2) won well first up at Hawkesbury and took a big step forward on that effort when best of the rest in the Thousand Guineas Prelude last time. She stayed on well there and despite being bred for speed the mile looks well within her range. AS TIME GOES BY (12) is bred for the mile and beyond. Has to step up sharply off a maiden on debut in which she was beaten but she walked away looking very promising there and no shock to see her give this a big shake. SHE'S LICKETYSPLIT (1) ran well at Caulfield on her Australian debut and this can suit better. TYPHOON TITMUS (8) is a chance on the quick turnaround from last week and TAJNEED (10) beat As Time Goes By home at Sandown and must be respected through that formline.

Not a lot went right for YEARNING (1) in the autumn but she ran some nice races and looked back at the top of her game when just missing in the Let's Elope around here. Fitter for that and draws to get a cheap run from the inside barrier. Room at the right time makes her hard to hold out. ARGENTIA (5) resumes at 1400m which looks ideal for her. She was a good winner first up last campaign and we are yet to see the best of her. PRIDE OF JENNI (11) will be up making the running. Back in form last time and she only narrowly missed in this race 12 months ago. That was the last time we saw ODEUM (6) who may well need this one after a year on the sidelines but is too good to dismiss without giving plenty of consideration.

Stewards had to step in and take the race off SPACEWALK (6) and hand it to BUENOS NOCHES (5) after little split them at the finish in the key lead up. This doesn't look a great deal tougher and both should be in the thick of the action once again. Think Spacewalk can be the one to improve most. Very green and still learning and there can be more to come when he gets it all right. GIGA KICK (3) has been kept fresh since knocking off Alpha One in the Vain. Alpha One was no match for Spacewalk and co in the Poseidon but was clearly off his game there and Giga Kick should measure right up to them. Think that SWISS EXILE (1) can also measure right up coming down from Sydney. No match in the Run To The Rose but this is easier. DOULL (8) was just fair on his return but he was soft in the betting and it can be a case of him having needed that run.

INTERPRETATION (10) was two months between runs here last time and after travelling well throughout just couldn't quite finish it off. Fitter for that and now hits the race that he has to win if he is to put himself right on the Cups path. SHERAZ (1) ran really well first up then flat second up. He can be better suited this time coming to the bigger track, on firmer footing, and up to 2500m. DESERT ICON (5) had things to suit around the Valley but he was dominant there for the second run in a row and can take pegging back on speed again. This is the race for LUNAR FLARE (8) back to this trip and she has been ticking over nicely ahead of what is clearly an early spring target for her.

DUAIS (2) has peaked and won third up in her past two campaigns. She warmed up nicely first up and while she never threatened in the George Main last time she kept on fairly off a steady gallop and it can be the run that brings her to the boil. Her Australian Cup and Tancred wins make her the one to beat. GOLD TRIP (12) was solid giving weight all around in the Naturalism and he can also arrive here fitter and ready to return to his best form. Strong ratings in France but does have just the one win to his name. That gets him a pull at the weights which could be decisive. Think MAXIMAL (15) could be another to improve quickly from the George Main. His Doomben Cup second said he still has the talent he showed early doors in the UK and this is a nice option for him. INSPIRATIONAL GIRL (8) has her first try at the trip. Think that it will suit and she did enough first up at the Valley.

SWATS THAT (13) ran well on debut for this yard in the Bobbie Lewis. Picked her way across from the far side only for the race to develop and be won back where she came from. Did best stand side and she has peaks ahead of that form that make her a terrific chance against these. KEMALPASA (5) did enough first up to think that he has a great shot back at Flemington second up. Two wins and never out of the placings in five runs here. ROCH 'N' HORSE (6) won the Newmarket with Swats That among the beaten brigade. Was 100-1 that day but had good form in NZ and two runs this time in say she is going at least as well as ever. Straight could suit PRIVATE EYE (1) down from Sydney where he won the Epsom on this day last year. Stradbroke run last time was a cracker. ATHELRIC (8) can be better suited here. Not hopeless in a top line sprint last time.

ARTZINO (4) was slow away and green on the run home when beaten on debut but quickly improved on that effort to get off the mark at Sandown and again he walked away looking one that would improve plenty for the experience. Stable are in terrific form and they can have him ready to take the step for this. MR MAESTRO (1) beat KAPAKIRI (9) and the favourite MAJOR BEEL (2) in the Derby Trial at this course and distance and they are fancied in the same order today. Mr Maestro was coming away at the finish and looks a strong prospect for the Derby next month. CADAZIO (11) is the stablemate of Artzino and another twice-raced son of Tarzino. Never a factor last time but a very different scenario here up to 1800m. His debut win hinted at him being smart.
