Naval Force, Piran, Royal Wedding and Trigger Guard have shown ability and should be in the shake-up but preference is for JUST BEWARE, fourth at Huntingdon on her hurdling debut. She made lots of late headway to finish less than three lengths behind the winner and the extra two furlongs today should suit her.

2

14:35 Fontwell (Class D) (5YO plus)

Focus On Flora Beginners' Chase

Vingis Park has been expensive to follow over hurdles but showed on his chasing bow he may be better over bigger obstacles. Balladeer looks to have a future over fences but hasn't run for a year and preference is for MYLO, who has gone close a couple of times in similar events and might benefit from this drop in trip today.

3

15:10 Fontwell (Class E) (4YO plus)

Sylvia Stall Novices' Hurdle

2m 4f

Winner £3,500 - 11 ran

Double winner Kristoffersen should be suited by a return to this trip. Almizan, a useful sort on the Flat, won on his hurdling debut and could follow up. However, it's worth sticking with FLOTTA, a decent Flat handicapper, who ran out of steam on the run-in on his hurdling bow after going well for a long way.

4

15:45 Fontwell (Class G) (4YO plus)

Conditionals' Selling Handicap Hurdle

2m 2f 110y

Winner £2,394 - 8 ran

Gray Knight and Oh Sunny Boy are modest sorts flattered by their form figures but can be given a chance in this company. After a couple of wins in similar events, SHEER GUTS lost his way but found the winning formula again last month over this C&D. He's up 7lb today but won so easily that he should be capable of following up today.

5

16:20 Fontwell (Class C) (4YO plus)

Salmon Spray Handicap Hurdle

2m 2f 110y

Winner £9,031 - 11 ran

Maclean is running well but he may be too high in the handicap now while Gan Eagla is leniently treated on winning form but hasn't run since March. Screenplay and SPACE COWBOY are both up 6lb as they chase hat-tricks but the selection had plenty in hand when winning at Newton Abbot and should follow up today.

6

16:50 Fontwell (Class D) (5YO plus)

S.D.S. Group Cup Handicap Chase

3m 2f 110y

Winner £6,084 - 7 ran

TOM SAYERS ended last season with a hat-trick. He's up 12lb now but had every chance off his new mark when falling three out on his last outing. If he stands up today he's the one to beat. Twisted Logic and Monita Des Bois have plenty of weight. Prokofiev, up just 1lb on his winning mark, looks the one for the forecast.

7

17:20 Fontwell (Class H) (4YO to 6YO)

Allstaff NH Flat Race

2m 2f 110y

Winner £1,869 - 8 ran

Rhapsody In Bloom looks the pick of the newcomers but may struggle behind a couple of the experienced horses. Money Line was less than a length behind in second on his debut but hasn't raced since December and might find one too good in MR EX, a close and running-on third on his debut in August and likely to be suited by this trip.
