BRIGHTON VIEW won by seven lengths at Yarmouth and although he has a 6lb penalty here, there is every chance he will go up further once he is reassessed. Trainer William Knight has snapped up Oisin Murphy to ride the Palace Pier colt, who is fancied to follow up. Lc Tiffen tried 1m2f for the first time at Ripon and saw it out well enough to suggest that she can be ridden nearer the pace now, though Doncaster runner-up Saxophonist may hold her off for second.

The hat-trick seeking SALLAAL is hard to knock with his five wins from nine starts record, the latest in Listed class at Sandown where he saw off Persica by one and three-quarter lengths. That form was franked when the runner-up won at Newbury, and Roger Varian's charge is nicely treated at these weights. Sea Scout could surprise at a price on his return after being gelded, having placed at this level when last sighted, while Convergent arrives with plenty to prove after a pair of disappointing efforts.

Calendar Girl looked useful as a juvenile, winning a Group 3 at Newmarket in October, but she hasn't been seen since and this looks a huge ask without a recent race under her belt. FALLEN ANGEL is a five-time Group 1 winner who failed to see out the extended 10 furlongs in the Middleton Stakes at York on her only start so far this season. However, back at a mile and dropped in grade, she ought to find this far easier to cope with. Rumba Numba could hit a place with some improvement.

CRIMSON SPIRIT continued his good run of form when landing a 20-runner handicap at Glorious Goodwood last week and there should be more to come remaining at this level. A 4lb rise from the assessor looks more than fair and he's taken to follow up at the main expense of Moonshine. The three-year-old is progressing nicely and her latest triumph at Kempton suggests that another bold bid is imminent. Pellitory could be in the mix judged on his penultimate second at York.

Having made the most of a 5lb drop in the ratings when scoring at Leicester recently, Crafty Blue could have more to come in retained cheekpieces. Although a 4lb rise shouldn't prevent another good account, Beverley winner NORCROSS BROW could prove to be slightly better treated. Liam Wright effectively negates a rise in the handicap with his 5lb claim and this slight ease in distance shouldn't pose any issues. Fellow last-time-out winner Berlinetta and Sandown runner-up Galba add further spice to the race.

Arctic Thunder bolted up at Salisbury last month to end a long losing run. He'll find life tougher raised 7lb, but Lost Signal remains unexposed and could prove ahead of his mark now handicapping. However, the latter comment also applies to the dual novice winner MOUNTAIN CAT. Saeed bin Suroor's charge faced a tough assignment in Group 3 company at Ascot last time, but this should prove more his level and first-time cheekpieces could also bring about improvement.

The suspicion remains that Suggy saves his best for the all-weather as he landed a double at Wolverhampton with his latest success. Phantom Watch failed to land the odds at Newmarket last time having scored at the same venue before that, so SANDY CRAIC could prove the one to side with. A winner at Carlisle in June, David O'Meara's progressive filly has been thereabouts at the finish in both starts since and looks capable of scoring off her current mark on that evidence.
