It's difficult to look beyond MIJHAAR. John Ferguson's ex-Flat recruit fairly bolted up on his NH debut at Doncaster in November last year and, rated as high as 109 when plying his trade on the level, the Shirocco gelding should have too much class for his rivals and can successfully concede weight to the field. Others to keep an eye on include Gunner Fifteen, third on his hurdling bow at Chepstow, and Arthur's Oak.

FLEMI TWO TOES has been running consistently well in defeat of late and he looks to have been found a real opening. Placed efforts off the same mark both here and at Ludlow the last twice bring him right into the reckoning for a race of this nature and softer conditions should play to his strengths. Of the others, Tarraco represents the potent Venetia Williams/Aidan Coleman combination and is shortlisted, along with Dunkelly Castle.

JUST BENNY can build on his latest Uttoxeter effort in what looks a wide-open affair. The son of Beneficial is winless from eight career starts, but a much improved performance at the Midlands venue will have encouraged connections and it could be significant that Richard Johnson keeps the ride. Boomtown is feared most based on his latest third at Uttoxeter, while Was My Valentine is capable of bettering her latest Lingfield fifth.

STRAWBERRY HILL can put back-to-back wins together following an impressive Fontwell victory last time out. Caroline Keevil's charge is 8lb higher, but he only has two to beat and is open to some improvement after just three starts over the larger obstacles. Ringa Bay looks the main danger as he was far from disgraced when third at Uttoxeter in November, but Mentalist is no mug and he completes the trio who all boast live claims.

BEAUBOREEN is clearly getting the hang of things now following two much-improved performances at Carlisle and Bangor. A winner at the former two starts ago, he almost exploited a 3lb lower mark when trying 3m for the first time at the Welsh venue latest and there should be a lot more to come. Neptune Equester will get every yard of the trip and his supporters will be pleased to see Tony McCoy booked for the ride, while Arkose is also noted.

Shubaat brings some useful Flat form to the table on his NH debut for John Ferguson and the market may tell us more about how well he's schooled at home. Preference, though, is for CAROLE'S DESTRIER. He looked to be travelling like the winner before he came to grief two out at Plumpton two starts ago and was last seen finishing a good second to subsequent Cheltenham winner Aubusson, so his form reads particularly well. Cloud Creeper is also respected.

Rouquine Sauvage looked every inch the real deal when scoring on her racecourse debut at Fontwell in October last year, but she failed to confirm that promise when having her first start in the JP McManus silks latest and that disappointing display is concerning. BITOFAPUZZLE is preferred and she can continue the good form of Harry Fry's yard. The point winner created a favourable impression when scoring on her NH debut at Bangor in November and can go from strength to strength. Tara Mist is another to take seriously.

RIVER DEEP can send his supporters home smiling as natural improvement on his Wincanton debut should see him play a huge part. Philip Hobbs' horses go well at the moment and this looks a good opening. Of the others, Double U Dot Ede's should be more the wiser for his opening Plumpton fifth, while Blacksmiths Arms represents a shrewd stable on his first start and could be interesting if the market vibes are positive.
